Naomi couldn't help but laugh at Zal's question. She affirmed that there were no stains on her shirt before they left.It reminded her that she should probably get Zal some clothes for the holidays coming up. It would be a nice gesture and she knew that her friend would appreciate the offer. However, Naomi would have to find a way to make sure Zal didn't ruin these as well, like keeping them in a special dresser, or sewing a tag into them or something, to remind Zal that they were a gift and something she couldn't wear to fix anything. ANYTHING at all. Even a toaster.
Takashi could see how excited his cousin was, and decided, that, perhaps he could let it slide this once. He wanted to tell his cousin that he'd consider it okay if he wanted to splurge on sweets, this once. Mitskunai would appreciate it, he knew, and it would put a smile on his face to do something nice for the other. At least, he assumed it would. As they got ready for dinner, he watched Haruhi and Kaoru attempt to pep talk Hikaru into being a nice boy. It amused him greatly, and he shook his head, wanting to laugh slightly. He'd always been closer to Hikaru.
Once they were heading outside, Takashi had Hikaru wait until the others had gone downstairs and said to him, "Just watch. Learn about people by watching. Then, when you feel comfortable, speak." He offered him a smile and lead them downstairs.
Hikaru seemed to be in higher spirits after that. When they met up with the girls, he watched them. The two of them were in sch contrast to one another, it confused him that two women so different could be such good friends. Naomi was dressed the best of the three, he noted, watching Haruhi, Zal, and Naomi move together in a small trio flock, as some girls often did. Zal looked more goth of the group, the mopey loner; Naomi almost resembled a doll, pretty yet appeared too perfect to be real, threatening to most people who would approach her; and Haruhi, was just Haruhi. He found himself unable to judge her as he could the other two. He'd been so in love with this commoner that he had a hard time throwing her to the wind as he had been able to do before. There was a part of him, deep inside him, that wished she'd chosen him. But he'd lost to the boss, and, let's face it, what women would choose Hikaru over Tamaki. Whereas the dark haired twin wanted to win, he had a voice in the back of his mind warning him that Haruhi would not choose him. He buried the voice, calling it fear. She was the first one to make it into his world.
A similar presence came up behind him and he turned to smile at his brother. "You worry too much." he whispered quietly to his brother. "I'm fine. I feel better, I promise." He meant it too, and it showed in his face. Whatever Mori had said to him worked, evidently.
"Hey Boss?" Hikaru asked, glancing behind them at Tamaki, who looked like a kitten who had been abandoned by its mother. Oh... Haruhi had left his side. It amused both twins for a moment, it seemed. "Looks like you're taking your place at Momma's side again, huh?" He joked, seeing Kyouya and Tamaki walking side by side, something they'd done often when the hosts went out. Before Haruhi.
Naomi went into some details about the shows and the rewriting of music that they'd done. She'd asked Zal to help with some of the mechanical sets over the summer and had sent her some of the set designs so she could give her advice on the mechanical aspects. Naomi made sure to mention some of the legal things they had to do to get rights to the show, music, rights, names of places, characters. It interested Haruhi and prompted a lot of law questions and if there was anything she could get involved in that would aid in her degree.
It took them about ten minutes, at a leisurely pace. Maki caught sight of Naomi when she opened the door, holding it and allowing her friends to venture inside.
Maki rushed from behind the counter. "Bri!" She called, having warned the other girl that Naomi was bringing some friends over around this time and she was going to leave the behind the counter management to her for a bit. Maki herself was short in stature, wearing vans behind the counter of her own place. She was dressed in a green t shirt with her company's logo on it and yoga pants. A darker green apron was tied around her waist. She had long light brown hair that was tied back in a messy ponytail, small hairs escaping it as the day went on. A smile was on her face and she side hugged Naomi to avoid getting any food, coffee, or anything on Naomi's pink dress. The two of them seemed to click together. Despite how short Naomi was, Maki was just a little shorter. A stool and a few step stools were behind the counter for her to stand on to use some of the equipment.
"Are all of them here to try my food?" Maki questioned, looking at Naomi, who shook her head. "No, just Mitskunai." She said, gesturing to him since he was standing right beside her.
That made Maki smile. He was cute. Actually, all of these guys were cute and she didn't usually find Asian men attractive at all. "I made a few things for you." She grabbed a platter from the side counter and put it on a table, beckoning for him to come and sit and try it.
Takashi watched this and nodded in his cousin's direction. It was already made, so it would be rude to leave and come back.
"This is a pumpkin cheesecake. So it this one, but I changed some of the measurements and ingredients." She gestured to the two in the front. "This is a wild-berry danish, and, this is a chocolate mousse cake with a strawberry compote and whipped vanilla bean frosting." Maki introduced each one and had a spoon for each one so the flavors wouldn't mess. She bit the corner of her lip nervous, as she always was, when someone judged her cooking.

Kyouya was content to walk at his own pace near the back of the group, but after a bit Tamaki seemed to step into stride beside him. The blond didn’t talk to him, just looked dejected as Haruhi walked with the two girls. He didn’t mention anything to his friend as he understood they all needed their space. Haruhi even more so since Tamaki lived just next door. It was also nice to see Haruhi with female friends, who actually knew she was female.
Tamaki had registered he’d fallen into step with Kyouya, more out of habit than anything else. He wasn’t quite sure why, it just felt a little off when he walked beside the Twins or Mori and Honey –senpai. He thought about it some for a few seconds and realized he felt like a third wheel. Content with that he looked to Hikaru who actually had come along instead of mope at home.
“No…” He was about to say yes, when he realized the Twins seemed to find amusement in the statement and it had been a joke.
Kaoru wasn’t sure about Hikaru and his mental state when they first started the walk, but apparently Mori-senpai talked to him about it, and it seemed as though Hikaru’s spirits got lighter as they walked. At his brothers comment about being fine and knowing he was Kaoru nodded his head. “Just please stay that way through dinner. Seems it will be a nice one and we don’t need it ruined.”
Zal watched the two girls interact, but slowed her pace a bit following just behind them. It’s not as though the talk didn’t interest her, but Naomi needed a friend other than her and Haruhi was becoming that rather quickly. She also tended to prefer to stay the third wheel sometimes and this seemed to be one of those times.
The Green Bean came into view soon and as they all went in, Zal waited next to Mori while his cousin helped himself to Maki’s newest creations. She gave Bri a smile and a hi as the green eyed short haired blond hustled out to the front a few stray hairs coming out of her bun.
“They all here to taste test for Maki?” Bri asked quietly to Zal.
“Nah. Just him.” Zal replied nodding towards Miskuni.
With a nod of approval from Mori Mitsukuni walked over to the table with a bounce in his step, unable to contain his excitement now. All the treats were set in front of him and he pondered on which one to try first. They all looked so good. He decided to try the pumpkin cheesecake as it was seasonal. He threw the taste around in his mouth letting the flavor linger before he tried the others. The Danish seemed to be a bit off from what he was used to, but it was still good.
“All very good. The Danish seems a bit off, but not a terrible off.” He replied with a smile.

Naomi sat down at one of the tables, letting Maki and Mitskunai do their thing. It would be rude to hover. The twins sat at the table not far from them with Tamaki. Zal was talkiing to Bri, who had always been very good friends. She was still with Haruhi, the two of them now talking about movies. They had grown up on the same movies back in Japan, and one of Haruhi's favorites was a movie about Japanese law that was done ten years earlier. It had an American actress in it that played the head prosecutor and Haruhi really looked up to her. She was one of her role models because in all of her roles she was a strong woman who had some affiliation with law. Of course, the actress was nothing compared to her mother, Haruhi noted, but Naomi appreciated the girl's notions all the same.
Before their conversation grew too in depth, Takashi sat at the table with them, not wanting to rush his cousin. There was an extra chair at the table. He was sure that Zal wold eventually take it, but he didn't care if she didn't.
"Why are you so worried about me?" Hikaru asked his brother in a low tone in rapid Japanese. His brother had worried over him all day, sending him texts and being a general pain in the ass. "I talked to Mori-sempai and I'm over the awkwardness of this morning. You're.. making this harder on me by constantly pestering me about it. Just, let's put it behind us, okay?"
Maki watched him eat each one. She looked instantly relieved that they were all good. "The danish?" She asked. She thought to herself for a moment and quietly listened all the ingredients to herself under her breath, as if trying to figure out where she went wrong. She did this twice, not paying attention to what was around her before something seemed to click in her head. She smiled and nodded, pulling a pad of paper from her apron and scribbled on it quickly. "Thank you!" She said to Mitskunai. "Tell me which one was your favorite and what you liked about it. That helps me out a lot." She requested, needing a little more to go off of. He wasn't a food critic, she assumed, so she needed to pry things out of him to learn anything.
Haruhi asked Takakshi about his martial arts and if he found anything here.
He nodded, confirming that he found a doujo nearby.
"A doujo?" She asked. "What do you do? Karate?"
Takashi nodded. "I can, but I prefer Judo." he answered simply.
Naomi blinked. "Do you work out?"
Haruhi looked uncomfortable for a moment. Was... Was Naomi hitting on him? That was a rather blunt question.
Takashi nodded.
"Do you run?" Naomi continued.
Another nod.
"When?" Naomi continued, realizing that much like her father, Takashi didn't speak much.
"Mornings. Around dawn."
Naomi smiled at him. "I run every morning with my dog." She explained. "Around 5 or 6 am since it's always peaceful then. I've always been looking for someone to run with, but no one is all that interested since I run a few miles everyday. Do you want to maybe run together tomorrow morning."
A smile came to Takashi's face. "I'd like that." he affirmed, pleased with having a partner. Not that he minded being alone, mind you, but it was nice to have someone up with him in the morning, especially considering how Mitskunai was...
Hikaru glanced to Takashi and Naomi. "Don't look now Boss, but Mori-Sempai is talking to a girl." He joked, having missed what happened earlier in the day between Takashi and Zal.

“I’m worried because with you anything can set you off. “ Kaoru replied just as quietly. Knowing full well how quick his brother could go from happy to sour. He just didn’t want a nice dinner, and getting to know people ruined by a drastic spectrum change.
For that particular time in the afternoon, The Green Bean was pretty quiet, only a customer or two were seated at a table and the only couch in the lobby. Kyouya took a seat a few tables away from Naomi and Haruhi and watched them all with calculating eyes. It didn’t surprise him when the still dejected Tamaki sat down next to him. The man seriously needed to lay off the clinginess for a while. Haruhi apparently didn’t seem to mind, but he was sure she was well aware of how dejected her boyfriend was. It was just a matter of time before their King got the talk.
He didn’t say a word as he sat down next to Kyouya. Tamaki just wished silently that Haruhi would spend more time with him. She’d been so preoccupied with this Naomi that they hadn’t really spent time together as a couple for a few days. He understood she needed her space, but they only got an hour today and two hours the day before of couple time.
“He was talking to Zal yesterday. Got quite a conversation going with her.” Tamaki replied to the hotheaded twin. Knowing that despite the taunt, he knew Naomi wasn’t a fit for Mori, the grease monkey was. He believed that strongly and still wanted to push things when he felt they needed it.
Bri’s green eye’s looked at each foreigner individually. She guessed two of them had mixed heritage, for sure one. She couldn’t figure out the tall man and the short blond haired man, they just weren’t ringing her ‘related’ bell, as for the Shadow King he was particularly striking, seeming to have that odd man out vibe, the calculating type. She would not have taken Haruhi for a girl at first glance, but now that she was really looking at her, she could tell. The twins however caught her interest. She’d always been fascinated by twins, their struggles to be independent but together. How other people could tell them apart. Bri silently watched them, keeping an ear out for the door so she didn’t ignore any customers.
Zal watched her friend ‘inventory’ the group of foreigners. Knowing that would take Bri some time, Zal smiled, patted her friend on the head and took a seat at the same table as Naomi, Haruhi and Mori. Catching just the tail end of Mori and Naomi’s conversation.
“It’s not the miles you run sweetheart. It’s the time of day. This bed head in the morning will scare off even the adults. But it’s nice you found someone to run with. Oh by the way do you have that guest pass for the gym you mentioned? Need an indoor pool to swim at for the club for practice. There aren’t any outdoor pools in Boston. Hell the only outdoor pools open year round are in Hells Gate Phoenix.” Zal said, suddenly remembering a conversation she had had with her roommate a week or two ago about a gym.
As much as the Danish and cheesecake were awesomely delicious, Honey had to stay true to his nature and he went with the chocolate mousse cake. The mousse itself was light and creamy and the strawberry accented its richness very nicely, with the vanilla frosting kicking it with a refined taste.
“The chocolate mousse cake is my favorite.” Honey started, “I liked that the mousse was light and creamy, and the strawberry mixed with it very well.”

Hikaru rolled his eyes at his brother. Whereas that was true, it didn't mean that his brother had to constantly point out one of his rather large, overarching flaws. He figured it was best to let it go, but before he did, he looked at his brother's lighter hair. "Look, I promise I'll stay in a good mood. Just give me some credit, okay? You gotta believe that I won't always be kind of a jerk." That was what his brother always said. Kaoru kept telling Hikaru tht he could be 'kind of a jerk.'
The twin looked slightly annoyed by Tamaki's comment, especially since his was a joke. He shrugged his shoulders, wanting to let it go.This was the boss, after all.
Since he hadn't been there the day before, he seemed interested in Zal and Naomi. Of the two, Naomi was the prettier of the two. Or he thought so anyway. Neither one of them were really his type though, especially since Naomi was too much of a pretty girl, super high maintenance. Zal was okay looking, different than he was used to, but not all around bad. But she was a grease monkey and not at all what he wanted in a woman. Short hair, he didn't mind, but an overwhelming manliness features--aka the grease and what not.
Well, yeah, she supposed that Zal had a point. Still, she liked running in the morning, there was more to see. It was very different from running at night. There was a different tone when you just woke up and the world around you was just waking up too. It's strange to run at night and then go to bed, especially since running woke her up. "It's always better in the morning. I like running when the sun rises. It's really powerful feeling to be out there. You should try it at least once with me, you know you want to." Naomi teased.
"An indoor pool?" She asked, smiling at her. "Yeah, I know of a place that has one. I can talk to the owner for you. It's a few blocks away. It's private, but my dad is friends with the owner. I'll have him get me a pass for access and I'll give it to you. And I'll tell him we'll either go together or separately." Considering her father, she could get almost anywhere in the city without much effort. Her father and herself were famous, especially since Boston was so heavy on medicine and the medical industry.
Maki looked delighted. She wrote some more notes down and nodded happily. "Thank you.'" She complimented the other. "Do you want something to take with you for the road?" The short girl asked, stuffing her notepad into her apron. "Or, you could come back here for dessert!" She chimed, as if encouraging him to return for more sweets.

Kaoru sincerely hoped his brother meant his word so he conceded and placed his hand on his brother’s shoulder, “I will. I just want to see the effort, deal?” He was seeing the effort, he just wanted to see more before he was fully convinced.
Zal gave Naomi a ‘no way in hell’ look as a joke for her teasing about running in the morning. She didn’t need to explain to her roommate she wasn’t a morning person. Naomi got that from the get go. Zal was pretty bad about beating the crap out of the alarm in the morning. Although she swear she was getting better. She had been much worse in high school when it came to waking up.
“Aww thanks. I owe you a strawberry and peach smoothie from that smoothie place you like so much.” Zal replied with a smile. That solved her problem of hunting down a cheap gym with an indoor pool.
MItsukuni beamed, “Your welcome.” When she asked him if he wanted some for the road or rather if they’d come back instead, he looked conflicted he wanted to come back, but he wasn’t sure about the others he looked over at them wondering if he should ask them. Some of them seemed to have their own troubles.
“Umm could you give us a minute to decide on that?” Mitsukuni asked Maki. He didn’t want to promise anything and things turn sour at dinner.

Naomi laughed at the look Zal gave her. Somehow, she couldn't help but be amused. Zal was the most unlikely morning person in the world. Naomi had a better chance of teaching her dog to write music for her then to get Zal up in the morning to run. Still, maybe she could consider doing it in the middle of the day during the winter when it was cold and they had their break from school.
"Just one strawberry and peach smoothie?" Naomi asked, knowing well that Zal would bring her anything she wanted since the two alternating buying or making dinner.
Hikaru smiled at his brother, trying to encourage him that he was fine. He wasn't having a good morning, that's it. Or, that's what he was insisting on anyway. Somehow, seeing the groups around them, he found that it was pretty cool. Especially since Haruhi seemed to make a friend with the other girl so quickly. Still, it was at least worth the effort to get to know her. She was of the same class as the hosts, not of Haruhi, that much Hikaru could tell.
Takashi glanced to Mitskunai and Mori. "We'll come by and pick up some dessert after dinner. Maybe a chocolate mousse cake?" He offered, knowing that his cousin would appreciate it, and he had been good lately. Having something to have after dinner for the next few days would be a good thing, especially for the two of them. Takashi wasn't big on sweets, but had them every now and again.
Maki smiled and nodded. "Of course! I can have something ready. If we close before you get back, I can give it to Naomi tomorrow."

“I’ll bring you all the strawberry and peach smoothies you want. If I can keep my Kit Kats?” Zal answered, knowing how much Naomi loved those smoothies. It was a fair trade for her Kit Kats. Those always had been her favorite candy bar.
She glanced over at Maki and Mitsukuni and the short blond haired man seemed to be struggling with something as his face wasn’t sunshine and smiles. Zal blinked as the quiet man at the table spoke up something about a chocolate mousse cake? She then whispered to Naomi, “Did I miss something here?”
Satisfied his twin was alright and in better spirits, Kaoru took a seat with Kyouya and Tamaki. Kyouya was busy on his laptop doing something or other while they waited, and Tamaki looked like a kicked puppy. Kaoru sighed knowing exactly what Tamaki was upset about.
“Boss. Haruhi’s making friends who actually know ‘he’s’ a she. She needs that. She needs that small corner of solitude away from you now and then. So can you at least not look like a kicked puppy.” Kaoru said quietly so Haurhi didn’t hear him. But he had a small feeling Tamaki wouldn’t keep so quiet about it.
Tamaki looked towards Kaoru. Twice in one day people where butting in. It was fine for Haruhi to have friends, but he just wanted to spend more time with her. “I just want her to spend more time with me…” He trailed off.
“She will. Just let her get the hang of being friends with these two. Then she’ll spend all the time in the world with you.” Kaoru replied. Earlier he’d been worried Hikaru would make dinner bad, now he was starting to think it was Tamaki.
Kyouya was starting to see the landmine that Kaoru was trying to talk down and after taking a quick glance at Mitsukuni and noticed the man was done with his taste test he finished an email to his sister and closed his laptop. Standing up he cleared his throat, “I think Honey-senpai is done, so why don’t we all head to dinner.” He looked around at the eye’s that had turned towards him, “And afterwards why don’t we stop by here for some dessert. Think that’s a good idea Honey-senpai?”
Their upperclassman had a way of steering away from disaster, so including Honey-senpai in the decision for dessert was probably the best thing he could have done. He also had a feeling Haruhi would probably be thanking him later. Maybe.
Honey was glad for his cousins help, and was about to reply with the beam back on his face when Kyouya stood up and asked him if it was good for them to stop on by again for dessert. Honey knew exactly what that meant. Kyouya had basically asked him if the desserts were worth coming by again. Plus he had also caught the bit about trying to talk down the bomb that appeared to be Tamaki.
“Of course Kyo-chan. Takashi suggested the chocolate mousse cake so why don’t we all share one. Maki-san said she’d give it to Naomi for us if we aren’t able to make it in after dinner.” Honey replied hugging his bunny tight.

"I'll buy you another six-month supply of Kit-Kats." Naomi agreed, faking her remorse. Ever since the two of them became friends, Naomi and Zal showed their affection by trading Kit Kats and smoothies. Their friends thought it was amusing, since Naomi would show up at the pool with a bag full of Kitkats to help keep Zal motivated in the pool.
It was something naomi would always do, really. She'd show up to rehsersals with food for some of the actors and the rest of the staff. Sometimes she'd order food for the entire club, either with her own money or out of the club's budget. It was something she was known for, usually for the better.
Looking toward Haruhi, Naomi laughed. "Sorry, we trade KitKats and Smoothies. It's how we show our affection." She told the shorter haired girl.
Haruhi nodded. "Is that normal here?"
Naomi thought about it. "Buying people food is normal for me, yeah, kinda." She joked. "But try not to worry too much about it, Haruhi. It's just a joke. Girls indulge one another with food. And clothes." Then, Naomi seemed to realize something. "Hey, we're going to go shopping this weekend, since Zal has ruined all her clothes. Do you want to come with us?"
Haruhi looked surprised. Then she smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I'd love to go if neither one of you mind!"
Hikaru watched Tamaki and sighed. "Boss, come on. You have to admit these girls are better for her then Renge. They're actually pretty nice and it's better to have her around some girls that aren't total otakus. Just let her make some girl friends, it'll do her a lot of good, trust me."
Hearing his brother, he nodded in agreement. Tamaki was trying to hard to hold Haruhi back when she needed to grow just as much as the others. They needed to grow together, that was the most important thing.
Hearing that Mitskunai was done, Naomi stood at her table of girls. She'd only noticed because of Kyouya, since he had stood and spoken. She smiled at Maki and nodded, making it clear that they'd be returning later. "Make a big one." She told her friend before kissing her cheek.
"Are we ready to go?" She asked, eyeing the twins who were talking to Tamaki, who looked to be getting sadder by the minute.
Haruhi went over to the table. "Tamaki they invited to go shopping with them this weekend. I'm really excited. Maybe we can do something after that, since I'll know more about the layout of the city and what there is to do."
Takashi watched Haruhi and Tamaki and was glad that the two of them had worked out their previous apartment differences. He glanced toward his cousin and nodded. He was ready to go.
Once they were all assembled at the door, Naomi opened the door and held it open as she stepped out. "Head to the left." She moved to the left of the restaurant and started walking down the street with the hoard of other students.

A feral grin spread over Zal’s face, “You know I love ya.” It was a phrase Zal gave people dear to her. Not because she was making a pass. Naomi was worth the affection, and so much more as she had heard people say over the year or two since she’d been there, but Zal had always seen her as a dear friend nothing more nothing less.
Now that she had her comfort food established she smiled at Haruhi, “Oh yes very normal. But they key is finding the right person to have it be worth it. Naomi is worth every single one of those smoothies. I’d go so far as to put smoothie lover on her gravestone.” Her ears then picked up shopping and included her wardrobe and she looked off to the side slightly emnbarassed, “You know that they’ll just get ruined eventually right? We can just go to the thrift store so when they do I’m not crying over a $40 pair of pants.”
Naomi had been trying to get her to take better care of her clothes. She did have a few pieces that were strictly for interviews that she kept separate, but all of her out on the town clothing had a grease stain somewhere on it. She wondered how Naomi would get her to make sure she couldn’t wear these new clothes while she worked on her truck.
Tamaki felt like everyone was ganging up on him. Well just the brothers, but he felt as though they other’s would have spoken up eventually. This move and living together with Haruhi was going to take some getting used to, especially now that since they were almost always together Haruhi would need her space. He was about to respond to Hikaru when Haruhi came over to him and assured him she wanted to spend more time with him. He felt loads better and his ego flared up again and he pulled her in for a big hug. Knowing full well she didn’t care much for public displays of affection, but he hadn’t kissed her.
Kaoru, and Kyouya were already waiting at the door, as the other’s moved closer, each one of the group in their usual place. Tamaki with Haruhi where Kyouya would tag along just a bit behind. Hikaru to their right and Kaoru would join him. Honey and Mori-sempai to their left with the two girls infront of them leading the way.

Haruhi was comforted by the fact that these two girls were so close. She'd never had that with anyone, so she was excited at the potential that she could have girl friends that she could trust. It wasn't something she'd ever had before. She'd have to keep that in mind. Maybe she could make Naomi a smoothie or two, since she couldn't really afford to be going out and buying her one every day. Still, it was the thought that counted, right?
"I'm not big on sweets, but if you say it's that good, I'll have to try it." Haruhi offered.
Naomi smiled. "Everyone has to try this, Haruhi. I'll bring you one to school tomorrow. How's that?"
Haruhi nodded. "Thank you."
"No problem." As they moved, Naomi couldn't help but wonder why Zal couldn't just change the way she treated her clothes. "Well, if you want to do that, we can. But I still think we should go to the mall. We need to get you a new dress. And I need a few things for the new semester."
Truth be told, Zal would have more money if she took better care of her things. She was constantly having to throw out clothes and shoes because she destroyed them. Naomi just didn't understand how she could have a few different outfits she rotated whenever she worked on her car. So, maybe she needed a little push in the right direction. Naomi could micromanage her friend's clothes for a while if it meant Zal would get better at caring for her clothes. In a way, Naomi had always been fussy about her clothes. It was a family trait, she supposed. She and her sister were raised and expected to look perfect and put together. There was never a time when she could go out in anything. Thought and careful consideration went into all of her outfits.
Haruhi was in a good mood, so when Tamaki hugged her, she hugged him back. She was glad that he didn't kiss her. that would have left her exceptionally flustered. Thankfully, Tamaki had more tact than that. For once. Once he let her go, she held his hand as they walked. Since they got here, the country was different than Japan. Whereas even at home, couples held hands, they did it more in America. They kissed in public and did a lot of strange things. She supposed that to keep her boyfriend happy, she could do small things like this.
Naomi lead them out of the cafe and walked with them down the street. Their group was fairly large, but they moved down the street with ease. The Italian restaurant they were heading to was four blocks down and one block over. Considering the speed at which the city seemed to move, they made it there in no time. Once they got there, Naomi talked to the Hostess. She'd made a reservation.
Their group was seated about two minutes later, in an almost private room. The long table was easy for large parties like theirs, but was still small enough that they could be close together and it would be comfortable for them to talk to just about anyone at the table. As they were brought there, Naomi wasn't sure how they wanted to sit.
Haruhi sat down with Tamaki at her side, and asked for Naomi to sit beside her. Of course, Naomi agreed.Ironically, Tamaki was sitting at the head of the table. Zal sat beside Naomi.
Takashi sat on the opposite side of the table, across from Zal. He smiled at her when his cousin sat beside him.

She needed a new dress? Why did she need a new dress? Zal couldn't understand why so she raised her eyebrow in a puzzled look. She almost said she had enough dresses but those were really for costumes and they werent many. She'd mention it to Naomi when they got home. She'd much rather go to the thrift store too for her clothes so that was another thing she'd mention later as well. There was no point in discussing it at the current moment any further.
Content that his girlfriend was willing to hold his hand as they walked, Tamaki settled down. Willing to let Haruhi have friends, but just a smidge worried that the time they spent together would be a little less. He just left it alone again. Realizing he'd have to just have patience and trust Haruhi.
The place had most of the typical Italian decor, but Kaoru assumed it was like that with most other fancy Italian places here. He couldn't say much for the mom and pop ones, but he figured they weren't too much different. He sat down next to Honey as his brother sat beside him. He saw Kyouya take a seat next to Naomi's roommate Zal.
As they were handed their menu's Zal glanced across from her to see Takashi give her a smile. She returned it with a small one, putting her menu down without opening it. She already knew what she wanted. They didn't come often but she was particularly good about finding a favorite or two and sticking with those for a while.
