Armin seemed to be one of those people everyone in their class liked. He was smart and kind and although he wasn't the strongest, he could probably take you down with his mind before you even laid a hand on him - that and Mikasa and Eren were quick to hunt down anyone who messed with the blonde boy. Even Annie, as antisocial as she had become, she didn't mind Armin's company.
Annie stared up at him, giving a light nod. The light reflected off his face, drawing out the sharp line of his jaw. His eyes still held a hint of tiredness from having woken up not too long ago. When they were kids, Annie had told him once that he had pretty eyes because they were gentle and kind and the color of the forest. To be honest, they'd never really changed, though she was certain hers had. "Okay," she answered, trying not to give away the fact that she was actually kind of excited to come back later. They next time they'd have to bring Reiner or he'd probably throw a fit that they were excluding him again.
She'd forgotten that she was without her shoes, but she trudged forward anyway. If they came back to camp with her on his back, she was pretty sure the rumors of the two of them sneaking off into the morning to do dirty things in the forest would haunt them for weeks. Not that she cared, honestly, but she wasn't really looking for that type of attention. "It's alright, I'll just watch my step. If someone hadn't been on a mission this morning, I would have my shoes," she teased, looking back over her shoulder at the boy behind her.
