Edward chuckled. "We could, but you know how often I broke my arm. Without it, I get the feeling I'll be more reckless with my leg. N-not that I'm already planning or anything... It's just a thought." He nervously added, in defense of himself. Somehow, her confidence in him made him smile, and he nodded, about to respond before her lips came down on his own. Deciding not to fight it, his hand rested on the back of her head, playing with her soft locks as his lips worked against hers. What she said was something he could respond to, but she didn't want him to. It was said, it was what she wanted, there was no way he could argue with her, or add anything onto it. So that meant he should just let it go.
Ran Fan looked up at him and returned the smile. "If it really bothers you that much, I'll call you Ling when I know we're alone. Would that ease your mind some? I hadn't thought it was that big of a deal, but I suppose I'd hate it if you called me Guard all the time." Sighing, she walked beside him, blushing darkly when he kissed her cheek, letting out a soft laugh. The grounds of the palace were beautiful, lined with lanterns, making almost all the stars in the sky visible. Looking up at him, she nodded when he told her to sneak into his room. "I'll arrive before you know it, and i do mean that literally and as the normal saying would infer." She added, grinning at him. "Don't worry. I'll come visit you later on."

Winry bit his lower lip, giggling when he made a sound. Her hands ran down his side, using her nails just barely. She had no worries about him forgetting her, she knew he wouldn't. He wasn't the type who would just abandon her. It was the reason why she was so sure of their relationship, the reason why she wasn't afraid to get involved with a guy like him, someone who was always moving. Despite that she - like any other woman - had thought of motherhood once or twice in her life, she knew that it was the last thought on his mind, and she was okay with that. Even if he never settled down, even he kept traveling into his late years, she knew that there wasn't anywhere in this world he would be able to go where her heart wouldn't follow him.
Ling smiled, glancing back at her. "That sounds good, Thanks!" He called, the grin spreading from ear to ear. "I'll see you soon then." He smiled and climbed up into his window just as a servant came into the room.
"Oh, emperor Ling. I brought fresh pajamas for you, you must be tired after so much paper. Here you are, is there anything else you need?" She asked.
"Thanks. Oh yeah, could you bring up some food?" He asked and she nodded, bowing and walking out of the room. He put on his pajamas and walked back into the room, sitting down on the bed. A few servants came back, bringing up trays of snacks and other foods, setting them down on the table. They walked out shortly afterward and Ling smirked, glancing toward the window where he knew Ran Fan would show up any moment.

Somehow, the thought of leaving Winry never even crossed the blond's mind. He knew that he would leave her, meaning they'd be apart, but he had no intention of leaving her in the long term. He wanted to see her. If he was gone for too long, he'd miss her smile, her face, her body, her love, her cooking. He'd miss everything about being at her side, which included the pointless argument and the times they had like now. Speaking, for either of them, would be pointless, only because they didn't need words or place holders to explain to the other what they already knew. Despite the fact Ed had no interest in children now, or in the next three or four years, he wanted them eventually. He'd always wanted to be a father, or had decided he wanted to within the past few months, a little before Father was beaten. Just because he wanted to be a better father than his own. He'd previously wanted to prove it to him, but now it was more about just being a better person. Not to mention he knew Al wanted kids, so he couldn't let his little brother do it alone. They had Xerxian blood, which they had to pass on. Even for just a little while longer.
Ran Fan heard someone enter his room and lingered. Once she was sure, he was safe, she disappeared into her own room, grabbed a change of clothes, and then showered. After she was sure that Ling was dressed and had swept the hallways around his room, the windows outside, and anywhere else someone could see her, she made it inside. Silently, she sat on his bed, watching him lean on the window. "You're lucky you have someone like me to protect you." She added, her legs under her. She was wearing pants still, but they were must tighter and clung to her shapely legs, and only reached to just below her knees. The shirt she was wearing, matched the pants, and where also black. It covered her chest, but was tighter than the normal black clothing she wore, and had short sleeves that covered both of her shoulders, hiding the scars over her left arm.

Winry's lips worked from his lips down his chin and neck and to his chest before she slowly made her way back up again. Her fingers rested against his belt, thinking how great it would be if they were off as well. It seemed like whenever they made out he was usually almost naked. Then again, that probably had something to do with the fact that he'd parade around the house in his boxers anyway. Either way, she was intent on getting him out of his pants. Fumbling with the belt, she pulled away for a moment to glance down, muttering something underneath her breath. Once she got the piece of fabric unhooked from his belt, she tossed the belt aside, popping the button on his pants. Her fingers left it for a moment, sliding upwards again, over his chest.
Ling watched the window slide open but didn't see anyone come in until she walked out from the shadows. He laughed slightly. "I'm lucky to have someone like you period." He whispered, kissing her cheek lightly. He pulled her into his lap gently, finally happy that he was able to show some affection to her without worrying if people were watching. They were alone and could kiss and make out as much as they wanted now. "At least we're alone now." He said, smiling at her. His fingers moved up and he slowly and gently pulled the hair tie from her hair, letting it fall down. He loved her hair. It was so soft and smelled good. "I do miss you when you're away though." He teased, kissing her cheek lightly. "Even if it was just a short time."

Her lips were leaving his, making Edward grumble in irritation as her lips drifted across his neck, knowing she'd feel his Adam's apple bounce with the frictional sound of his vocal cords. Looking down at her, he grinned, feeling her hands sliding over his body, his muscles tightening and loosing before and after her hands slid across them. Growling, he felt her fumble around with his belt, making him laugh softly. Looking up at her, he leaned upwards, kissing her softly, catching her lips after she'd unbuttoned his pants, her hands now focused on his chest, teasing him. Truth be told, sex now wasn't on his mind, just because he was missing one of his legs. If he still had it, he'd go for it, just because she'd never undressed him like this before, and certainly not after breaking up with him, getting back together with him, then agreeing to make out with him all night instead of fixing the power.
Ran Fan laughed softly at him. "I have to agree with you." When he kissed her cheek, her body loosened so he had the ability to pull her into his lap, and move her body freely. No one was around now and no one would come near his room while he was sleeping. In many cases a guard would kill them for such things. That pretty much meant they'd be alone for the rest of the night. His hand moved through her hair and pulled. Her back straightened and her head remained still so the elastic would pull from her midnight hair without incident. "We weren't apart for that long, I think we should work on your coping skills." She teased, turning her head so her lips captured his in a side kiss, with her still seated in his lap.

Winry's hands wandered back up his chest, realizing that taking off his pants might seem to suggestive. After all, her shirt was off. She giggled lightly when she heard him grumble, feeling the vibrations as she kissed his neck. He smelled amazing. Slowly, she kissed up his neck, bringing her lips back to his. She didn't kiss him, instead she just lightly brushed her lips against his, smiling. Her fingers dug into his hair, playing with it. It slipped through her fingers like liquid gold. Pushing back his bangs so she could see his face entirely, she planted a light kiss on his lips. Smiling, she looked down at him. "What are you thinking?" She whispered, curiously. He seemed at peace.
Ling laughed, interlacing his fingers and settling his hands at her waist, looking at her. "I know." He said, smirking. He moved back slightly so that he was leaning back against the pile of pillows and she was in his lap. It was quiet and he'd decided to leave the window just slightly open to keep the room cool. The sound of wind blowing against the trees outside entered the room, making him sigh slightly. It was peaceful and he felt at ease, finally. He didn't want to worry about the rest of the paper work until tomorrow - he didn't want to think about anything else besides her at this moment. Leaning up, he kissed her lightly.

Edward let her do as she wanted, his eyes closed, letting himself become lost in his own thoughts. Truth be told, this was something ideal that he'd want for the rest of his life. The way she was so comfortable with him and how she was so relaxed all the time? He loved it more than anything else. His eyes fluttered open when her lips grazed his, making him smile before his hands started to slide up her bare back. "I'm thinking about you. And us..." He whispered, moving a hand through her hair. "And how it sucks with me not having one of my legs." he said, laughing softly. "What are you thinking about?"
The sound of the wind blowing through the trees was enough of a sound distraction that would ensure that none of the guards would hear her in his room. It was one of the things that worried her the most, aside from his death or if he sustained a major injury. Someone catching her with him, especially in his room would be in and of itself a scandal. Despite the fact he could have sexual affairs with whom so ever he choose, Ran Fan on the other hand was a female and did not have the same liberty. Had she been married, she'd be killed for cheating on her husband, but since she was not, no one would ever marry to want to take her because she was already claimed by another. Not that she wanted to be with anyone else, but them being caught which bring negative consequences to them both. As his lips met hers, she smiled softly and twisted her body skillfully to meet his kiss.

Winry laughed slightly, tapping his nose with her pointer finger. "I'm thinking about how much I like your eyes." She said, running her finger down the bridge of his nose. Laughing, she propped herself onto her elbows. "If you want, I could start working on fixing it." She kissed his cheek, reaching for her shirt and slipping it on because she was starting to get cold. Winter was nearing after all, and even though it didn't snow in Rush Valley it still cooled down during the night, enough to make you fetch a blanket. "I mean, I don't mind you without your leg, but I know you don't like it. I can start it and finish it by tomorrow."
Ling kissed her back, wrapping his arms around her waist. He did care about people finding out about them, only because he worried for her safety and he knew that she didn't want anyone to know. But if anyone did find out, he knew he would let himself die before he let them hurt her. He didn't care if people viewed him differently or suddenly decided to despise him. It was his decision and it was his life. If he wanted to be with her, no one could stop him. Why was their love any different than the rest? She was someone he enjoyed being around, she was someone who made him feel better than he ever had, so why was it so disgraceful to love her?

Edward grabbed her arm after she put her shirt back on. "I just... don't really wanna do more than just make out without my leg. I'm not as strong with out it and when i don't have it, I tend to forget and try to walk and move around and stuff." He leaned up to kiss her, shifting his body into a sitting position. "You don't have to fix it now. It can wait until morning or something. Let's sleep and wake up and do something tomorrow. I don't want to waste the time we have alone. We could just like... give me a replacement leg for the time being or something." He grabbed her wrist and pulled her back into bed.
Ran Fan twisted her body around completely so she was facing him. Her chest rested against his and her lips touched his with the same passion he used to press against her. Something about the way he could kiss her just blew her away. She wasn't sure if he'd been with anyone else besides her considering Greed and the fact she hadn't been with him for months, but it didn't matter to her. He wanted to be with her now. The way he acted, how he treated her, even before this happened was never the proper interaction between a master and his servant. He'd always given her the right to speak and ask for something if she needed it. Her grandfather made sure that she denied most of this considering he'd worked with the previous emperor as well as the Yao clan heads - Ling's grandfather and his mother in her youth. But somehow, the feelings between them only made her more at ease over the years. He wanted her to be equal to him and fought so hard to make it that way even though she fought so hard to keep it from being so.

Winry settled back into her spot after her shirt was on, resting her head on his chest, his bare skin warm against her cheek. "I don't want to sleep." She said, wrapping an arm around him. "If you're tired, you can go ahead and go to bed. I'll just work on your leg until I get tired. Or I can work on some of the other automail I have to make." Kissing his cheek, she sat up, stretching her arms above her head. Turning her head, she smiled at him, reaching out for his hand. "Unless you want to say up with me and keep me busy."
Ling wrapped his arms around her waist, kissing down her neck and back up until he was at her lips again. She tasted so sweet, like sugar. Her scent was the same, amazing as well. He let himself fall into complete ease, knowing that no one would barge into the room without an extremely important reason. They all thought he was peacefully asleep, but in reality he wasn't. Instead, he had his hands at the small of her back, pulling her closer to him - if it were possible. With her, everything felt right. There was no doubt, or regret, or uncomfortable feeling. He wasn't afraid to be himself around her, he knew she'd accept h im no matter what. Hell, they'd grown up together. She knew him better than his own mother.
