"It might be unlucky in the fire Nation, but we're not in the fire nation." he took the apple back and took another bite out of it, his bites much larger than hers. Somehow, he wondered if what's what she wanted, if this was a game. Maybe he was just too used to women who liked to be catty. Suyin had never been that type. However, the smirk and what she said made him smile and he laughed a bit. Then, nodded.
"Alright." He stood in front of her, forcing her knees to part so he could slide between them. "If you want to light a fire in my bedroom, you'd be more than welcome to do it."

Suyin wrapped a leg around his waist, pulling him a bit closer. She leaned up, kissing him. She tasted apple on his lips, sweet and light. She thought about what her grandparents would think if they knew where she was. Would they be disappointed if they learned that she'd snuck off to meet with a man who she'd just been re-introduced to a few hours prior? Somehow, she didn't really care. It had been a year since Suyin had considered the opinion of another person. So if she ended up between this man's sheets that night, she'd still wake up feeling rather good about herself.
She reached back, pulling her hair out of its half updo. It fell to meet the rest of her hair, framing her face. Her hair had grown since the last time she'd seen him.

Jet had been standing far enough away that her legs had to both wrap around him and pull him forward. The kiss was unexpected, but those were often the best kind. He returned it eagerly, wondering if she was answering his question without words. Honestly, he didn't care for this subtle approach, as he knew it could often lead to trouble. And she had just come back. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable or push her too far.
With her hands, she reached up and untied her hair, just softly moving her head from side to side to settle all the locks together. Now, Suyin had almost always done her hair. There were a few mornings when it had been down, but he rarely saw it that way and he seemed to understand her. One of his hands softly slid across the leg that was around his waist and he looked down at her. Even sitting on the counter, he was still taller, but it made up enough space where she could kiss him without difficulty. So, he smirked and ran his finger over her lips softly before replacing them with his lips. All he wanted was to kiss her, and for some reason, it seemed she wanted the same.
The kiss broke, although he didn't want it to. "Should I let you go light the fire so I don't accrue anymore bad luck?"

Suyin smiled when the kiss broke. Her fingers reached up to touch his face, running over the rough facial hair. "I think you should," she said. "I'm feeling really cold," she lied, sliding her hands down his chest. She'd forgotten how well built he was. It was unlike Fang, who had a fairly slender build with very little muscle. Between the two of them, she'd always been the more well built one. Not that it really bothered her. However, with Jet, it was entirely different. His arms had always been her favorite.
She moved to slide off of the counter, her hands resting on his waist to balance herself. She laced her fingers through his and giggled when he tugged her to follow him.

The next morning came rather quickly. Suyin woke up to the feeling of weight and warmth. She wasn't uncomfortable. In fact, it was the opposite. There was light breathing against the back of her neck. He eyes opened to find that she was facing the window, a patch of sunlight on her. An arm was slung over her, dark skin a contrast to hers. Her back was pressed against his chest. For a moment, she didn't move. She just soaked in the sunlight and the incredibly comfortable warmth she was currently surrounded by.
Finally, her need to pee forced her to get up. She slowly wiggled out of his grasp, sitting up on the bed. She leaned down to brush a kiss against his temple when he made a sound. Memories of the previous night flooded her mind and she blushed, butterflies tickling her stomach.
Suyin smiled and moved to slide her legs off the bed, stretching her arms until her back cracked lightly. She looked around. The room looked much different in the daylight. After a few moments of fumbling around for some clothing, she settled for her underwear and his shirt, which was thrown over a chair not too far from the bed. Then, she left to the bathroom. There she brushed her hair and teeth. In the mirror, she could see that parts of the skin near her collarbone were tinted in varying shades of red.
Suyin went downstairs then. She decided to make breakfast for them. It was the least she could do since he was letting her stay there. When she got into the kitchen, she slid open the window and started to look around. He didn't have much there, probably because it would go to waste. However, he did have enough for her to make a fairly decent breakfast. There were eggs and a few vegetables, which she started to make an omelette with. She looked up when she heard a creak. "Good morning," she greeted, a smile on her face.

Jet drifted into consciousness like he drifted through the water in the rains, the major difference was how warm he was. Never before this had he slept with someone who was so warm before. Fire bender or not, Suyin radiated heat all around him. They didn't need a blanket, just a sheet that was tangled around the two of them comfortably. She moved and he mumbled in a brief complaint. There wasn't much he could do. She wiggle and got the idea, cracking an eye open to look at her body as she slid out of the bed. He opened both eyes half way to watch her bend and move around, dressing herself. He didn't complain.
He rolled over and closed his eyes. Mostly he waited and listened. She went to the bathroom and then downstairs. So, he pulled himself into a sitting position and cracked his back. He pulled on underwear and shorts and went to the bathroom himself. Then, he went downstairs, greeted by the smell of food. "Does this mean I should actually get food for the house again?" He teased, approaching her. His arms wrapped with ease around her waist, his lips brushing her shoulder, kissing up to her neck. She smelled like spices and burnt embers, but the good embers, like sweet birch bark. He inhaled deeply and moved her hair off her neck, leaving a small kiss on her skin before standing up.
Then, he started cutting an apple for the two of them. He offered her a piece of it. "It's good for you, in the morning. It gives you energy and it'll make you happy." He took a bite from it as well and looked incredibly pleased with the way they had woken up.
"I'm glad you decided to stay with me."

Suyin giggled. "You could get me some fruit and I'll make you a tart," she said. She knew Jet wasn't big into sweets, but he liked her tarts because they weren't overly sugary. She leaned over to take a bite of the apple, chewing on the crunchy and sweet fruit. She thought about what he said and she realized that she was already incredibly happy, but she ate it anyway because it was good and like he'd said, it'd give her energy.
She reached up to kiss him before he stood fully, a smile on her face. "I'm glad I stayed, too. Something tells me I wouldn't have had as much as at Amaranth's place," she joked. She loved Amaranth and she would have enjoyed staying with her, but this was where she really wanted to be. And to think, she'd have the opportunity to wake up to him again the next day, and hopefully the next, and the next. She knew that he likely had plans and would be busy throughout the days, but she hoped they'd still be able to meet at night. Even if for just a little bit.
She moved around, opening a few cabinets until she found where the plates were. "Do you have any plans for today?" she asked, looking over at him sitting at the table and looking over some paperwork.
Just then, the door opened and someone came in. Suyin didn't really have time to react. Echo walked in. "Hey, Jet - Good morning, there's something I got -" he paused for a second. "You look like you're in a good mood." Then, he realized someone else was in the house by the way it smelled. Jet didn't usually cook and if he did, he didn't do it from the dining table. Echo looked over into the kitchen and first, he saw her face and then her legs as she attempted to pull down the oversized shirt she was wearing.
"Hi...Suyin," he said, raising a hand to wave at her awkwardly. He blushed and looked between them, putting two and two together. "Holy shit, I'll be sure to knock next time." There was a long pause of silence in the room as he looked between them, not really knowing where to look or what to say. "Soo...did you guys have fun...?"

"Oh you might have had fun with Amaranth. You never really know." He winked at her, smiling as he continued to eat the apple he was cutting, feeding her slices of it. However, the door opened and echo came in. Somehow, Jet thought this would be ironic and he smiled. He was in a good mood. However, Suyin glanced to him and he glanced toward her. It was now that Echo noticed she was standing there, wearing not much more than his shirt. And, of course, his body was large enough that it covered at least to mid point of her thigh, but she still seemed uncomfortable anyway. Maybe it was a fire nation thing, because Jet had seen basically all the freedom Fighters naked. Hell, he'd seen four of them birth babies.
"Yeah, I'm in a good mood." He replied with a shrug. The awkward interaction that followed made him shrug. He picked up and apple and tossed it to Echo, expecting him to catch it. "Don't be so rash about this," he teased with a cunning grin. "And yeah, we did." he answered cheekily, feeling the room grow slightly warmer and he saw Suyin's cheek flush. Huh. That was a pleasant side effect. Was that why he had been so hot the night before. One reason for it, anyway.
After he said it though, he realized this probably wouldn't end well, and Smellerbee would think all of this was her idea. "Hey, Echo?" He asked. "Would it be... you know, possible that you tell anyone about this?" He looked to Suyin. "Not yet?"

"This is dastardly." Sokka observed, fidgeting with his boomerang as they sat at the small table in Aang and Toph's Republic City apartment. "They're like... our anti-group! A gang full of different benders, but they're all working for the purpose of evil."
"Gotta say, I like the idea of you not being on the same team as us, Sokka." Toph mused, leaning back on her hands, her ankles crossed and out stretched in front of her since they were all seated on the floor. "Doesn't really help us, now does it?"
Sokka glared in her direction and then looked down at his boomerang, as if debating throwing it at her. However, he sighed and tossed it to the table. "We have to be smart about this. They're committing a lot of crimes, most import among them are robberies. With that kind of wealth, they're going to start buying and taking what they want. We have to get a handle on this before they have too much power."
Toph shrugged and drew her legs closer to her body, now picking her toes. "I don't see how we're going to do that, unless you want me to start metal bending whoever I feel like it into cells, assuming none of them are metal benders." Of course, she doubted that, given how new metal bending was. Very few could do it. She had a select group of students who were proficient and she trusted them all.

Suyin looked at Echo, noting the embarrassed look on his face. "Yeah, could you please keep it between us for a bit," she said in agreement. While they were fairly certain in that they wanted to continue their relationship, she still thought that they needed a bit of time to collect everything before they decided to tell the others. And time for Smellerbee to calm down because Suyin knew she wouldn't hear the end of it if the girl found out now. She also thought it might be interesting to play a joke on her.
Echo scratched the back of his neck. He seemed to be coming out of his nervous state rather quickly. "I won't, on one condition," he said, looking at them. "I haven't had breakfast and that smells really good. So you feed me and I don't say anything, deal?"
Suyin couldn't help but laugh a bit. Echo was pretty easy to win over. "Sure," she said, waving him over. "I'll get another plate."
He came over with a smile, seeming excited as he sat down. "I had a feeling this would happen. I think falling off a cliff gave me psychic abilities," he joked, biting into the apple Jet had thrown at him earlier. He wiped his lips with his wrist afterward. Suyin brought him over a plate and some utensils and then sat down with them. "So does this mean you'll be staying with us?" Echo asked.
Suyin smiled, looking over at Jet briefly. His hair was still tousled from sleep. "I hope so," she joked. "But I do have to head back to Republic City soon, just for a few weeks. I have a group of students," she said.
Echo's eyes seemed to light up. "Republic City," he said. He hadn't had the chance to go yet since he'd been in rehabilitation for last couple of years.
Suyin laughed. "Wanna come along? I've got a small place there but I can squeeze you in."
Echo's smile intensified and he leaned over onto Jet's shoulder. "Can I go, dad?" he joked. He was asking more so in case Jet needed him for something, but he knew he likely didn't.
---
Aang sighed and leaned back in his chair, crossing his arm. He looked out of the window of their small apartment, watching the people pass through the streets. "I agree with you Sokka," he said. "We need to put a stop to them before they expand into something more powerful, however, I think that we need to be careful. The people are already suspicious and afraid." He'd already alerted the townspeople that he was working on the problem. A lot of them had come forward with complaints that their homes had been broken into or that they were mugged on the streets.
"Toph is right. We don't really have any information right now as to who is doing it. And frankly, we don't even know if these people are connected or working alone. I think we need to get to bottom of who's involved before we can proceed with anything." The problem wasn't really one that was extraordinary. Every town had problems with this sort of thing. Thieves roamed everywhere and just because the war was over didn't mean that everyday problems were solved too.
Katara leaned forward, dropping her chin into her palm as she rested her elbow on the table. The snacks they'd brought out sat in the center of the table, uneaten, as they talked. "The citizens are pretty hopeful that we can fix this, so we've gotta do something," she said.

Conditions with Echo were usually reasonable. After all, they weren't dealing with Frost or anything too crazy. AT the mention of breakfast, he smiled and nodded. Somehow, he had the feeling Echo came here with the thought of going with Jet to Amaranth's place for breakfast since he knew Suyin was back. However, her being here seemed to change that. Oh well, it worked out in the end.
The three of them sat and had breakfast together and things seemed more relaxed after that. In the silence, it gave Jet some time to think and after he finished, he looked to the other two. "I think... we should play a trick on Smellerbee." He finally decided. "I think it would be a lot of fun." He grinned wide at the thought of it, seeing it as a challenge and a way to pass the time. Sure, he had some work he needed to do, but that could wait, at least for a little while. There were more important things to do right now. Like, playing a prank on his best friend, for example.
"When you told us you were getting married, she wanted to go and I didn't. So for weeks she put on a big show and whined and complained and I eventually told her about... you know, us dating before Angel died." Echo was there, so he said it mostly to inform him on what was going on, knowing it would make sense to Echo why Jet didn't want to go, since everyone thought it was odd. "So, since you came back, I have the feeling she's going to do everything she can to force us together. We don't need the help, so I think... we should make it as difficult for her as possible."
| R E P U B L I C - C I T Y |
Toph listened to what they said, what it felt like the four of them had been saying from the start. While some of the cities had issues like this, none of them had the issue that Republic city was having now. All types of benders had never lived in the same place before, they stayed to their respective parts of the world. The mixing of people was great and everything, but it didn't exactly mean they could look for a solution in something else. Even Zuko, who blah blah Fire Lord, blah blah, can't blah blah, didn't have much advice to give them. The Fire Sages and Fire Guards usually dealt with rebellions, but there hadn't been one of those in a while.
So, yeah Zuko had been a great help. He did however promise to write to Iroh, since he was in the Earth Kingdom. However, it would be quite the trip from wherever he was, given the fact he had had tea shops all over the earth Kingdom, bringing tea, beauty, and philosophy into the lives of people all over the Earth Kingdom. It made Toph smile to think about, considering he'd done it for her. Now, she just couldn't wait for him to show up.
"Problem is, how exactly are we going to solve this problem?" She asked, coming from her thoughts. "I mean, they can hope all they want, Hopeful Stream, but that's not going to get us anywhere." When in doubt, come up with a new nickname for Katara. It seemed to help her feel better. It was something, but not entirely helpful.
Sokka sighed and looked at his boomerang on the table, still deep in thought. "Then, what we need is information on them. We have to find a way to get close to them and you know, join their gang."
"Yeah," Toph interrupted. "I'm sure they won't think anything of the Avatar and Boomerang guy joining in."
Sokka glared. "I didn't mean us, Toph. I meant someone could do this for us. The are a lot of people we can trust. We can probably get some Kiyoshi warriors involved."
Toph, who was now laying on the floor with her hands behind her head, scoffed. "Sokka, you're the idea guy and everything, and I hate to shoot you down, but that's not really how gangs traditionally work. For them to join, they're going to have to hurt people and get involved in what the gangs are doing. This isn't something anyone can walk into and walk out of. This is big and a little change of clothes isn't going to make this easier."
"Then what do you want to do? How about you propose a damn idea rather than stomping all over mine? You just said I was the idea guy, let me idea!"

Suyin thought about what he said. Under normal circumstances, she'd probably think playing a prank on someone like that was going too far. However, she thought that in this case, it was valid. Smellerbee would work day and night to get what she wanted and now it made sense to Suyin why she'd made the comment she had the night before. And why she'd acted the way she had when Suyin told her she'd broken off the engagement. While she did love Smellerbee, she thought the prank was a great idea. "I think I agree with you," she said, smirking.
Echo processed what he said for a moment, chewing on a piece of bread. When it came down to pranks, Echo was usually all for it. It had been a long time since he'd had the chance to do something like this and honestly, he was really happy to participate. "I'm down," he said, grinning. Honestly, he couldn't wait. "She won't have a clue what's going on." He looked at Suyin then. "Do you think it's a good idea to stay here, then? Smellerbee comes around enough to find you eventually." Then again, they could likely keep her away.
---
Aang sighed and looked at Sokka's boomerang, considering throwing it at him. "Look, I know you mean well Sokka, but Toph's right. We can't just walk into the gang and act as if we're part of it. They'll probably want us to do something to prove our loyalty, and like she said, it usually involves hurting people. That's just not going to work," he said. "And no offense, but none of here can really pass off as gang members. I have a blue arrow on my head and you have that stupid ponytail. Toph's blind and Katara..." he looked as she shot him a glare. "Katara's way too nice?" What he was trying to say was that they were all fairly recognizable and there was no one way they'd be able to get in.
He dropped his head on the table then, groaning as Sokka continued to blab on. He thought about jumping out of the window and escaping, but he knew he couldn't. He was the avatar and he had to deal with this. He'd rather be doing this than fighting Ozai again, that was for sure. "We're going to have to figure out a way to do this from the outside. We could stage something right? Get them to come out and go for there. Even if we capture one of the, that gets us somewhere." He would never torture them of course, but he hoped that by isolating one of them, they'd be likely to spill the beans on the others. Especially if they were faced by the avatar. Then again, they could also just choose not to speak. If they were in a gang, they were likely taught to keep their mouths shut.

Echo agreeing to do this made him smirk. "Good." He grabbed them some water and leaned over the island toward the other two. "And, we can figure out where she stays later. Smellerbee will probably come see me around noon, she always does right after BabyBee wakes from her nap. If Suyin gets dressed and leaves with you out the back, we could work with that."
Now, he looked at Suyin. "Do you want me to tell her we got into an argument about something last night and you took off?" Somehow, it felt like to make this real, they had to pull prank on someone and that someone just happened to be Smellerbee. When the Freedom Fighters were founded, it was tradition, pulling a prank on the new inductee and them being expected to pull one in return, on either the group or the fire nation. They were kids and it was a way to forget the conditions they were left in. Somehow, it felt like reviving something they had lost and the opportunity to do something mischievous with Suyin was way too good for Jet to pass up.
| R E P U B L I C - C I T Y |
"I don't see that approach working either. Gangs are like rich people, they don't associate with outsiders and they're not going to get too involved in things outside of it. Besides, they usually have ways against talking and I doubt the guy who took the Fire Lord's bending and not is life is going to scare them much. Everyone knows you won't actually take the only thing they want, which is their life."
Sokka glanced toward Toph now and rubbed his chin, scratching at his newly forming beard, which he was letting grow out at fang' insistence, and he wasn't sure at first, but now he was loving it. "You know, sometimes I forget why we added you to the group and then I remember."
Toph threw a small rock in his direction, which Sokka caught since it was about the size of Toph's hand and she didn't throw it hard enough to do any damage.
"I think..." Sokka began, "That maybe we can try an approach, but there has to be a way to combine the ideas. I mean, we could always get someone to join the gang and promise to pardon them as long as they don't hurt anyone. It's... a small evil to justify the greater good. Surely something like that... is workable, yeah?" He looked at his sister this time, since it seemed fairly clear Aang had shut the idea down and he wanted support from somewhere.
Toph sighed. "Sokka, I think we can try that approach, but it's not going to work. Again, the social hierarchy of gangs is important and you're dismissing all of that."
"How do you know so much about gangs all of a sudden?" He asked, turning to face her directly.
This time, she actually laughed. "You're kidding me, right? I spent two years on my own in the Fire Nation army. Hazing, bullying, and kicking ass is all part of that experience and gangs aren't all that different. You know as well as I do that you have to climb a social ladder in situations like this one and a new person isn't going to be able to just walk in immediately have sway and be able to tell us things. Any useful information will take years, and that's if the person you put in there survives that long. I would never put any of my students in that position, no matter how good their bending was. Even my metal benders who have been there from the start, I wouldn't risk their safety on a hunch. If we do put someone in there, it will be someone who's willing to die, knowing that they probably will. They've already killed half a dozen people and we don't even know if there's just one gang. None of us or anyone connected to us is going to get close enough to even smell the steaming pile of shit that this is, never mind close enough to see it."
- - - - -
Inevitably, Sokka came up with a plan to at least try an informant. They picked a water bender from the Northern Tribe. He came to Republic City for a new start, it seemed. He got a job at first, stayed low under the radar, but his skill in water bending perked the gang's interest. It was a slow transition, but they brought him in. After that, there was no news for almost two weeks. And, a little after two months, they found his head, and not his body.
Sokka was mortified. All of them were, but Toph just felt this was more evidence to support her claim that it was a bad idea. Another week of arguing and eventually, Iroh came up with the most legible idea. "If you cannot beat a cobra-dragon, the best course of action is not to send mice-rabbits after it, you must fight a cobra-dragon with another cobra-dragon or a cobra-mongoose."
As they tried to figure out the best course of action, Toph stopped them. "Wait, wait... I have a way better idea. We need a rival gang to upsurge this one and basically destroy them in rivalry, out them and sell their secrets."
"And where are we going to find someone like that? We don't know anyone strong enough or with the will power to stand up to gang like that, let alone run one."
"We do know someone like that," Toph insisted. "Aang, remember when Frost was here? She did nothing but get into fights and level people. She set up doing tattoos for a while and she's the one who told me that she had a feeling she did a bunch of gang tattoos after she did fifteen of the same design in the same place on the same number of different benders. Frost is part of the freedom fighters, which was, in it's founding, a gang. If anyone can get away with something like this, it's her. And she won't have to kill anyone. Pumpkin can just maul them."
No one liked the idea, but there wasn't a counter for a better one, so Katara wrote to Jet and put another letter inside of that one for Frost, without putting her name on it. Instead, they put Echo's real name, since Toph knew his name. He'd told her once when they were in the Fire Nation palace.
After that, they just had to wait for Frost to return to Republic City.

Frost woke up one morning to Echo calling her name. She groaned and rolled over, pressing her face into Pumpkin's mane to keep the sunlight away. She planned to ignore her brother, but he came into her room moments later. "Fuck off, I'm sleeping in today," she grumbled, flicking him off.
"No, you're not. Jet wants to talk to you," Echo said, chewing on an apple. Pumpkin perked his head up when he heard it, leaving Frost annoyed. Echo threw the core into the lion's expecting mouth.
"Tell him to fuck off, too," Frost answered. When Pumpkin pulled away from her to eat the apple core, she glared at the animal, muttering, "traitor," under her breath. Finally, after hearing her brother's annoying voice for long enough, she finally sat up. Echo left eventually, giving her space to get ready. He told her he'd be back later to make sure she hadn't fallen asleep again.
Pumpkin left the room with him, knowing Echo would likely feed him some scraps if he followed. Frost went off to rinse her face, brushing her long hair. She braided a chunk of it, and then pulled it all back into a ponytail. She opted for no makeup today, since it was her day off and she was tired from having gone on a late hunt the previous night. She got dressed and then headed out. She made it to Jet's place, avoiding knocking, and barged in to find him at his desk. "I've told you before, I'm not considered alive on Wednesdays, so whatever it is that you want, it'd better be important," she said, crossing her arms.

The letter came in with a bag full of mail on Monday. And it was literally a Bellamy-sized bag full of mail. Jet had actually never seen this much paper stuffed into some sort of canvas contraption. It had impressed Smellerbee too, because as soon as she saw it, she suddenly left, claiming there was a toddler she needed to entertain - a toddler that was napping on Jet's bed at that moment. Suddenly, he regretted learning to write.
Suyin agreed to help him go through it since she was back from her training and everyone knew the two of them were together now. She also had no real job and was living with Jet, so there was no reason for her not to help him. After replying and reading almost 300 letters, Jet found one that stood out from the pile. "This one is from Katara," He stated almost without thinking about it. There was something familiar about her writing for some reason, since it was fluid and somehow elegant. However, when he opened it, another letter fell onto the table which was addressed to Sairen. At first, it surprised him. "This is for..." However, when he started to read it, he realized it was actually for Frost.
He called in someone on patrol and sent them to go get both Echo and Frost and to come and see him.
It was Wednesday, so Jet was sure that would go well.
When the two of them finally showed up, Jet gestured to the kitchen at the sight of Pumpkin. There was something distinctive about the way he moved when he was hungry. The look of Frost told him that this was something she would like, given it was a distraction from her duties. "Toph wants you to form a gang in Republic City to uproot and destroy the other gang." He answered, offering her the letter with her brother's real name. "Somehow, I think it's less important and more exciting for you."

Frost dropped into one of the wooden chairs nearby, propping her feet up on the table in front of her. She fiddled around with the large tooth hanging from her neck, only listening to a portion of what Jet was saying. She didn't really care about whatever it was that Katara sent. It really had nothing to do with her.
However, what he said next caused her to perk up. "What?" she asked, blinking. She sat up, feet falling back to the floor. A smile broke across her face. "Seriously? That sounds great. Sign me up," she said, sounding fairly excited. This was something she was actually interested in and wanted to do. She stood up and walked over, leaning over Jet to see the letter herself.
Echo poked his head out of the kitchen, shoving a forkful of pie into his mouth. Pumpkin was behind him, gnawing on some smoked meat scraps. He moved out of the kitchen, dropping his prize down onto the floor in the dining area. Echo followed him out, sitting down beside Jet.
"Sorry, but I think I heard you say that they wanted my sister involve herself in dangerous and illegal activities," he said, not sure if he had misheard. Surely, he had.
Frost read over the letter. "Yeah," she said. "That's actually pretty spot on."
Echo blinked a few times. "Can I come?"

Frost's reaction made Jet smirk. This did seem like something she'd enjoy. He knew it would be dangerous and she would have the chance to show her shit off. Somehow, he also had the feeling she would end up giving out tattoos to a few people too. She was incredibly skilled in that regard and there was nothing gangs liked more than brand new tats. The Freedom Fighters were fairly gang like in that regard.
"You can go if you want, but I just need you to give me some sort of idea of how long this will take. Somehow, I have the feeling you'll be gone a year." He looked between them. "Is there anyone you want to take with you? I can let you take two other Freedom Fighters. Fox would be good at this sort of thing too, especially sleuthing around for you." Then again, they needed benders and there were tons of new Freedom Fighters to choose from. Frost could give someone a chance to really come up in both the Freedom Fighters and in Republic City. It was one hell of a chance, but he also knew Frost didn't care for most people. As compared to before the second war, she was completely different, but she still wasn't Echo. If anyone picked a new bending Freedom Fighter, it would more than likely be him.
Somehow, Jet wondered how the hell they planned to pull this off and what Frost would be doing, but he knew that when it was done, he would hear all about it.
