"No problem..." Soul muttered, in reference to the fact he didn't have a problem with buying her anything. Truthfully, she didn't seem to have a problem buying things for him either, as evident by the fact she came home from the store last week after having bought him deodorant. He still wondered if that was her way of saying he needed it, or if she just knew that he needed more. Either way, he appreciated that fact, but couldn't shake this lingering feeling that the next step was her calling to him from the bathroom, yelling about how she needed tampons.
Somehow, rather than being disgusted, he outwardly smiled to keep himself from laughing. The trust she'd have to put in him for that was admirable considering how much they've been through. "Keep it." He told her as he opened his drink, drinking down about a forth of it in a single sip. "My chest is sweaty, I could use a breeze." He stated honestly. That was partially the truth. His scar always made him itchy whenever he had something rubbing against it. It was getting to the point where they needed to start playing shirts versus skins to stop the chaffing.
Oh well. As Soul put his key in the ignition, he straddled his bike, taking another sip of his drink. Once he closed the bottle, his hands held onto the handle bars and his foot pushed up the kick stand. "Come on Maka." He stated, moving his head, signaling for her to hop on. "I still need to take a shower and at this rate I'm going to be late." He chuckled. Despite being a Death Sycthe, he had little interest in going to Shibusen (particularly when it came to waking up for it).
After Maka sat down beside him and was situated with the bag of drinks and the bright blue bag behind him, he shifted his weight and drove off through the city. Once he made it to their apartment, he parked his bike and covered it. There was a report on Death Weather Watch that it was likely to rain in the early morning. He followed Maka upstairs to their apartment and sighed tiredly, not surprised to see Blair laying on the couch on her back, purring. At least she was in cat form. Walking over to her, he rubbed her stomach and then walked off toward the bathroom to shower. "Night Maka."
Liz almost whined when Kidd stopped rubbing her head, his hips moving just slightly against the pillow and the back of her head as his wallet slid from his pocket. Without bothering to open her eyes, she shifted back into a comfortable position and his hands returned after Patti grabbed the cash. "Mm..." She whispered, pleased that one part of his symmetrical obsession worked out in their favor (besides the whole 'be my weapons' thing).
Patti turned to look at Kidd, a string of cheese connecting her mouth to the slice she was attempting to eat. Whenever she got super cheese pizzas, it was like eating mozzarella sticks, and it was just the way she liked it! "What do you mean?" She mumbled through a mouth full of cheese and dough. "I bet he's way more interested in Liz!" The younger weapon chimed, thrusting her arm up into the air. "Right Liz?"
"Whatever you say..." Liz mumbled, drawing her legs up to her body, leaning into the couch. Now that her head wasn't being rubbed there was no reason for her to lay down in Kidd's lap. "These fries need something..." She mumbled, as if it wasn't obvious. Following that, she went back into the kitchen and brought the salt and pepper shaker in with her. It wasn't that she wanted pepper, it's just that Kidd would freak out if she brought one without the other. Though she didn't believe in indulging his habits, she also didn't want to irritate him this late at night.
As Kidd stopped to comment on how much the two of them ate, Liz leaned over and took the piece of pork from his fork into her mouth and started to chew it. "It's talent really, and all the time we spend chasing after you certainly makes staying in shape easier. Besides, Patti here just morphs it into her breasts it seems." The comment evoked a "Ya got that wight!" From Patti, though she didn't look away from her program, which was at the 'climax' of the program (if one could consider the concept of a show like this even having a climax).
After finishing about half of her pizza and all of her fries, Liz sighed, stretching her arms above her head. "I feel a bit better." She stated as she laid down, curled up on the opposite side of the couch, her knees just barely touching Kidd's legs.

Maka blinked when he told her to keep the jacket, her eyes glancing at his chest. She nodded, slipping her arms through the sleeves so it wouldn't fly off when they were on the bike. She instantly felt much warmer and didn't care that she now smelled leather and boy cologne. Screwing her bottle shut, she hopped up on the bike with him, settling herself down behind him. "'Kay," she mumbled into his back. She listened for the familiar rumble of the motorcycles engine as it started up, revving. Her arms wrapped around him, holding her drink between her fingers.
When they got home, she slid off the bike, searching around for the keys to their apartment. She found them pocket of her own jacket underneath, going on ahead of him as he covered his bike to go and unlock the door. She made her way up the stairs, pushing the key in the lock and turning. The door slid open with ease and she marched in, turning on the light in the living room. She looked over to find Blair on the couch, a few empty cans of tuna lying around her. The TV was turned on and playing some sort of reality show that dealt with a few dozen women competing for one man, Blair’s favorite.
Glancing up, she smiled at Soul. “Night,” she said, picking up the empty cans and making her way to the kitchen to toss them out. Realizing that she was still wearing his jacket, she slid out of it and hung it up on the rack near the door before she went back into the living room, taking a seat beside Blair, who had just woken up and was cleaning her face with her paw. Maka reached into her jacket, taking out the flashlight and her book, setting the light aside but keeping the book in her lap.
Blair sniffed around before she draped herself on Maka’s lap. “You smell like Soul!” she said, purring and rolling over, exposing her back so she could be rubbed. “Did you guys go play basketball again? Can I come next time? I want to have some fun too!”
Maka nodded, flipping open her book to the spot where she’d left off before. Her other hand reached down to pet Blair. “Yeah. Soul did. You could go next time, Liz would probably be grateful if she got a day of shopping. I already owe her for filling in because I didn’t want to play,” she said, laughing and flipping to the next page.
“YAY~! That means I have to buy cute little basketball shorts. I bet I could get a discount at Death City Athletics,” she said, licking one of her paws. “I get discounts all the time! This city is full of nice guys.”
Maka glanced down at the cat, smirking and shaking her head. “Blair, they’re not doing it because they’re ‘nice guys’,” she said, looking back at her book. She listened to the shower in the background, figuring she would stay up and shower after him, then go to bed. However, she was finding it hard to stay up any longer. As she listened to Blair rant on about her day, her eyes slowly skimming the lines in the book, she began to doze off.
Kid looked over at Patty, shaking his head. “It doesn’t matter whether or not he likes you since I’m utterly convinced that you will marry a giraffe one day. Which is fine with me, so long as he doesn’t live in my house. This place is reserved for only symmetrical beings and that is how it will stay.” He continued to pick at his food, pushing the overly oblong pieces of pork aside and not eating them, as they disgusted him. All the ones he didn't eat, he knew Liz would be completely fine with nomming them down, so he held the box out for her whenever he came across ones he couldn't stomach. Soon, they finished off the last box he had and stood up, dusting off his pants and looking at the floor. He was going to have to vacuum tomorrow before school.
He laughed lightly. “Which is quite sad, it would be nice if your breasts were the same size, but that is a thing of the past. As well as your heights...and hair styles and..and..” he stopped before it completely drove him insane all over again. He shook his head, going into the kitchen, and coming back with drinks for the three of them. He set them down on the table, leaving his own in his hand. He popped open the top and started to drink. His golden eyes followed Liz’s hand as she shook some salt and pepper on the fries, pleased that she had gone out of her way to make sure he could sleep tonight without waking up to make sure there was an equal amount of salt as there was pepper in the shaker.
Glancing at the TV program Patty had turned on, he smiled, finding it funny that she was still a child at heart. “Well, this has been a fine night. However, I believe that we should get some sleep. If I miss one more day of school my number of absences will be nine, which is unacceptable,” he stated, fixing the pillows on the couch, making sure they were in their normal place. It was the least he could do since he wasn’t planning on cleaning the whole house tonight.

Turning the shower on the hottest it would go and stepped it, letting the water stream down his chest, washing away the sweat and tired feeling that was consuming him. Who the hell was he going to go out with? Truthfully, there was no girl he wanted to go with, at least not now. There were too many things going on. Normally he'd just have Blaire come somewhere with him, but that would drive Maka crazy. That and the fact that if he bought her dinner and they went back to the same apartment together...
Yeah...
Sighing, he grabbed his shampoo and started to wash out his hair, surprised to find that there was a twig from when Black Star tried to throw him into the air and instead vaulted him into a bush nearby. A grin came to his face and he almost chuckled. After he finished washing out his hair, he leaned against the edge of the shower, eyes closed, letting the water drift in random patterns over his back and face, hair plastered to his forehead, cheeks, and neck.
After losing himself in his thoughts of the endless list of girls who would be interested, and the ones that would allow him to sleep in his room that night without fearing for his life. Once he had washed up, he got out of the shower, dried off, and put on some deodorant. He brushed his teeth and dressed in the bathroom.
By the time Soul got out of the shower, he saw a flashlight pointed at the wall and he walked over to the couch. Maka was slumped over, Blair in her lap, book on the couch beside her, asleep. Sighing, he grabbed a bookmark and placed it in the book and put it on the table in front of where she was sitting. Bending down, he scooped his sleeping Meister into his arms and walked her into her room. Pulling back the blankets of her neatly made bed, he lowered her down into the cool sheets and draped them over her. Looking down at her, he studied the peaceful look on her face without really knowing what he was looking at or why.
Slowly, he stood up and walked out of the room, returning to his own, collapsing on his bed and curling up to catch a few hours of sleep.
Patti's wide blue eyes turned to face Kidd and a hopeful look filled them. "A Giraffe?" She exclaimed, loudly. "R-Really?! That would be awesome!" She jumped up onto the coffee table (mindful of the candles) and fist pumped in the air. "That would be like... a life come true! I'm going to find a baby one to bring home!" She stated, jumping over the couch once the program was over and headed toward her room. "Thanks for permission Kidd! I'll bill you for the forest I have built for it to live in! And all the food!" She waved and closed her door.
Liz laughed into the pillow under her at what her sister sarcastically declared. Shaking her head, she looked over at the Shinigami that stood tiredly. "Kid, you do realize that..." she paused, not having the heart to tell him he would get seven hours of sleep if he went to bed now. "Never mind." She stated, standing and cracking her back. "Good night Kidd." She blew out the candles on the table and walked over to her room. She waited until he walked passed to open her door and slip inside, managing not to trip over the various shopping bags from Persephone's Secret, clothes from outlet stores and the mall (and matching shoes of course).
Once she was on her bed, she rolled over, grumbling, pushing off her new purse, grabbing the blanket from the floor and pulled it over her and rolled over, turning on her alarm. If Kidd came in here to wake her up there was no way in hell they would get to school on time.
- - -
Soul woke up to the sound of Maka loudly calling his name, telling him to wake up. It was soon followed by something small walking up his back. He moaned softly, shifting to let Blair's nails dance over his night shirt as she massaged the kinks from his body. "Mm... Now that's a wake up call." he mumbled, hearing her giggle softly. "Thanks Blair." he said, sitting up as she jumped off his back and started to pet her. Standing, he went over to his door and opened it as Maka walked in. He catch her by the waist as she ran into him, Blair jumping to his shoulder to avoid being crushed between the two of them.
"S-Sorry..." he mumbled, realizing that he hadn't called back to tell her that he was awake. "I was trying to wake up." He noted that her hair was not yet up and he looked at the clock, noticing how early he had woken up. "Damn... does this mean that I get breakfast?" He teased with a toothy grin.
A deafening alarm woke Liz and she rolled over, hitting snooze. Her dream slowly came back to her, an unlimited shopping spree complete with a convertible, the most perfect, handsome, guy driving it for her. The next eight minutes were a peaceful heaven that she never wanted to leave, at least until the alarm went off a second time. Groaning, she kicked the blanket off her bed and turned off the alarm. Rubbing her eyes, she looked around at the collection of dirty and clean clothes around her room and started to pull off her clothes, changing for the day. Once she finished, she walked out of her room, mindfully closing her door.
Walking down the hall to wake up Patti, who threw something out of a window in anger, not wanting to get up. It took a little bribing, but she managed to wake her sister at the promise of yellow pancakes with chocolate chips shaped like giraffes. Walking into the kitchen she put on an apron and started to gather materials for breakfast. "Morning Kidd." She stated, finding the food coloring in a tall cabinet and taking it down, pouring into the batter she was already half way through making. "Do you want eight chocolate chips in yours? Four on each side in perfect symmetry?" She asked, knowing the answer. Instead however, she settled for making them all symmetrical in order to stop him from walking over to help her.
Patti walked out of her room as Liz was finished making pancakes, fishing getting dressed before sitting down, rubbing her eyes. Looking at the plate in front of her, her eyes widened and she jumped up on the chair. "Ooooh!" She yelled. "They look beautiful!" She exclaimed, noticing that all of them were symmetrical, before covering them in syrup and started to eat. "Do we have any strawberries to go on my giraffe-cakes?!"

She faintly remembered waking up in her own room, in the dark with her sheets pulled up to her neck, thick silence hanging in the room. Through her window, there was the soft glow of the moon, blood pouring out of it’s mouth. She slid out of her jacket, half asleep, and fell back onto the bed, letting sleep overcome her again.
A few hours later, her alarm clock rang and her olive eyes fluttered open, blinking a few times to clear her blurry vision. With a yawn, she reached over and shut off her alarm, climbing out of bed. She grabbed some clothes and went into the bathroom, showering and getting dressed. Taking out a brush, she slid it through her ash blonde hair and left it down to dry, making her way out of the bathroom and into the kitchen where she started to prepare breakfast for the three of them.
Once it was done, she decided it was time to wake Soul up. She called his name a few times but got no response, so she figured it would be best if she just went to his room and made him get up. However, once she placed her hand on his doorknob, the door swung open and she was launched into his chest, a squeak escaping her throat. “G-Geez, have you been eating bricks?” she asked, backing up and rubbing her nose. Her eyes slid up to look at him and she shook her head, not at all surprised by his question. “Yeah, there’s waffles and bacon,” she said, turning to walk down the hallway and back to the kitchen. There were three plates already set up with hot food.
Blair jumped up onto the counter with a meow and started to tear apart at her bacon. “Mm this is yummy! Soul, since it’s your turn to make dinner, can you make fish? I want some grilled salmon!” she chimed in, pressing her paw down on a piece of bacon so she could rip off a chunk. With a piece of bacon dangling out of her mouth, she walked over and jumped up onto Soul’s shoulder, dropping the piece of food to lick his cheek. “Pleaaase~?”
Kid strolled down the large hallway of his mansion, the sound of his shoes clanking against the waxed floors echoing down the corridor. He stretched his arms above his head, a few pops and cracks coming from his back. Ah...he released a sigh of pure ecstasy upon entering the kitchen and coming in contact with the mouth watering smell of pancakes. Fluffy, fluffy pancakes...with syrup and organized fruit slices. Oh, how he couldn't wait for pure breakfast perfection.
“Giraffes..?” he asked, stopping midstep. “You’re constructing giraffe pancakes in my gourmet kitchen? Oh my...Patty, I’m afraid you might obsessed.” No, he didn’t realize the irony of that situation.
Sneaking up behind Liz, he smirked. “Must you ask? A breakfast isn’t wholesome if it isn’t beautiful,” he stated, simply. As if everyone was to live by this rule. He smiled. “You know, despite my distaste in eating animal shaped foods, this actually looks very good. I never knew you were a food artist, Liz,” he joked, still watching over her shoulder, amazed. The way she flipped those pancakes, such precision and perfection! And the orientation of the chocolate chips...oh dear. Such beauty and symmetry to start off his Monday morning.
“I think you may be a goddess, Liz.”

Soul rubbed the back of his head. "Bricks? Naw, too hard to chew. I have to keep my teeth perfect for souls." He teased, walking into the kitchen with her to eat. It did make him happy that it showed how much stronger he was. He'd been working out more, wanting power and to be stronger. The whole book of Eibon thing made him doubt his power, so he wanted to make sure that nothing like that would happen again. After all, it had taken forever to find Kidd and get him out. That and he wanted to be able to protect Maka. And... well, when it came for him to replace Spirit as a Death Scythe, he wanted to be good at it.
Not that he was going to go crazy and become a body builder or something crazy. He just wanted to be a little stronger. "Salmon?" He asked, looking at Blair as she happily ate her breakfast. Grabbing some syrup for his waffles he thought about it as he poured. "I don't think we have any salmon, but yellow tail was on sale yesterday. We should go see if it still is. It taste better." He stated simply. It was usually more expensive as well, so the fact it was on sale was even more of an incentive for him to grab some. "What do you think Maka?" He asked her, looking toward his Meister. Surprisingly, he wasn't tired this morning, a rare occurrence for him.
Petting teh cat on his shoulder, he rubbed her face. "But since you like fish so much, I'll get you extra that we can put in the freezer for when you're craving fish next week. I'll even get you some catnip, how's that?" He said, petting down the length of her body and her tail. "Then you won't have to hustle the men that work in the city for fish in exchange for you being human."
Liz grinned seeing Kidd's reaction to the pancakes she was making. "It was the only way I could bribe Patti to get out of bed, and I can't imagine how you'd freak out if only one of your pistols went to your first class with you. You'd probably have to skip altogether because you're symmetry was off on one side and you'd have to pull someone like Maka to walk on your other side." She teased, but knowing that it couldn't be too far from the truth. "And you should be happy that I'm making you breakfast in your gourmet kitchen. The last five cooks we had quit."
Patti's eyes drifted to Kidd. "Do not taunt the Giraffe." She stated in her 'special way' that was normally reserved for getting through to him. Following that she went over to the fridge and grabbed a carton of orange juice and then two cups from the cabinet before pouring some of it and putting one on the counter beside Liz, who picked it up to take a sip.
Liz watched the pancakes cook, making sure they browned evenly before flipping them into the air. This time it had nothing to do with Kidd, half cooked pancakes were on a level totally beyond disgusted and she didn't want to start her day vomiting slimy flour, eggs, and water.
"Yeah, beautiful breakfast." She mumbled, putting a strawberry in his mouth for sneaking up behind her. Had he done that while she was cooking dinner and the lights in the rest of the house were off, she might have punched him. But during the day, there was a minor risk of ghosts and supernatural occurrences, so she was safe in brightly lit places. "Sometimes I wonder how you survived this long with your obsessions with what you eat. It's worse than models and girls who diet."
However, the following compliment made her smile. "Thank you." She stated happily, flipping a pancake over her shoulder onto an empty plate. It landed slightly off center, but the one that followed it landed on the other side balancing it out. Oh yes! This Thompson sister was still all powerful from her impossible victory last night! Nothing could stop her!
"A goddess?" She turned to face him, caramel blonde hair streaming over her shoulder due to the fluid movement. Blue hues focused on the Shinigami before her and she grinned. "Anyway we can make that an official title?"
Patti held up a fork in triumph. "I know one way!" she declared, sprinkling her dices strawberries onto her giraffe, partially staining it's yellow face. "You'd have to marry a god!" she exclaimed, stuffing a forkful of pancakes, syrup, and strawberry pieces into her mouth.

Maka laughed lightly. “Well, you can start with breakfast,” she said, sitting down at the circular table with them. She picked up her fork and started to cut into the syrup drenched waffle on her plate. Looking over at the duo, she smiled. It was a lot less disturbing to see her draped around him when she was a cat than when she was human. “I agree with Blair, we haven’t had fish in a long time. Think you can throw something together, Mr. Chef?” she asked, picking up another piece of her waffle and swirling it around in the syrup before she ate it.
Blair hopped back onto the tabletop, wandering to her plate to start her waffle. She poofed into human form so that she wouldn’t get syrup in her fur while eating her waffles. “Yay~!” she squealed happily, throwing her hands in the air. She wasn’t wearing much besides a low cut shirt which exposed much of her belly and a pair of shorts. “I’m so lucky to have the two of you to cook for me! I never was so good at it.” She giggled, leaning over the table, exposing even more cleavage. Her eyes drifted to the clock. “Oh no! Almost time for work! Time for Miss. Blair to get ready. Thank you for the yummy breakfast~!” Standing up, she ran to get dressed in whatever room she felt like since she didn’t exactly have a room of her own. It wasn’t a surprise for either of them to find panties or other clothing lying around in their bedrooms or various other places in the apartment.
Maka finished off her own plate and stood up, washing it off in the sink. She made her way down the hallway and toward the bathroom to fix her hair up in it’s usual style. There wasn’t much she could do with it, or at least she thought so. It was easiest to put up in pigtails. Going back into her own room, she picked up her bag and made sure everything she needed was there, including extra reading material if she got bored, and a few extra pencils for Soul if he lost his (which happened a lot). She grabbed the bag by the handle and swung it over her shoulder before exiting her room.
Kid cowered behind the island. “Liz, tell her to stop!” he called, pointing to Patty, who had just firmly scolded him in his absolute least favorite way. “Please, please!”
When it was clear that she was going to quit with the voice, he finally stood up and dusted himself off, pretending as though the incident never happened. He smirked. “Simple, I eat only things that appear edible. It’s not that hard, so long as my food is organized in the way that I like it to be. That and it tastes good. I’m not crazy, Liz, I just like things to be neat and tidy. Everything has it’s place,” he continued, though he was sure neither of them were really listening. Both girls had heard the same thing many times.
When the pancakes had were done, he settled himself in a chair at the breakfast nook, in front of his plate of pancakes. He picked up the bottle of syrup and covered his pancakes with it before he began to taste. “Mm..” he mumbled as he chewed. It was great, better than he had expected it to be. Maybe Patty was right, he shouldn’t taunt giraffes. At least not giraffe-cakes. He looked up at Liz when she questioned his assessment of her, and then over at Patty as she tried to find a solution.
With a smirk, he bit into his pancake. “Good luck, the only known ‘gods’ to exist on this planet are us, Shinigami.”

"I think I can handle it." He told both of them with a devious looking grin. And he meant it. Great. Now the pressure was on and he had to think of something amazing to cook for dinner. Guess that meant he was going to wait until later in the week to go out on his date. He still hadn't picked someone, but since he wasn't going on the date until Friday Night, he had time to pick and choose. Just because he lost didn't mean he had to rush, right?
Soul ran his hand through his hair as Blair ran from the room to change. He knew very well that she liked to leave her undergarments all over the house. He found panties in the freezer once. And no, he wasn't kidding. And it wasn't particularly appealing either. After finishing his breakfast, he brought his plate to the sink and went to his room to grab the notebook he (occasionally) took notes in, but normally used it to write music, or make it look like he was actually doing something. Unlike Maka, he couldn't focus on school work for extended periods. He was already a Death Scythe, so he didn't see the point in putting his entire being into his studies.
Once he grabbed a pen from teh table, he tucked it into the spiral of his notebook. "Come on." He stated simply, walking outside with Maka.
Just as Kidd suspected, Patti and Liz weren't listening to what he was saying. The younger was busy eating, piling more pancakes onto her plate as Liz finished making them. The older continued to cook and once she ran out of batter, she pulled up a chair and sat down, starting to eat them. Picking up the bowl of strawberries that Patti was monopolizing, she started to eat them after dipping them in the pooled syrup on her plate. "I think that I should wake up early more often." She stated happily, pleased with what she made. It tasted delicious and it hadn't taken that much effort (aside from the symmetry).
"Can't you just... give me an official title as Goddess when you replace your father? Or something like that? You have the power to do that right? I get everything I want for free and people must bow to me in the streets!" She laughed at the thought, knowing that it was more of a fantasy than anything else. She patted Patti on the head (a little harder than she needed to) at the comment she made and pushed out her sister's chair when she'd finished eating. "Go finish getting dressed." she encouraged, to which her sister obliged and returned a few minutes later, dressed and ready to go.
Putting the plates in the sink and rinsing them off, Liz turned to look at her sister and Kidd. "Ready to go?" She questioned, leaving with the two of them. Somehow, despite the game last night, she slept well. Maybe she should play exhausting games of basketball more often?
Stein was sitting in his normal chair as class started, leaning forward against it. A hand was on his head, twisting the screw, the loud clicking sound echoing in the quiet room. "Due to recent reports, I've been expressly told my lessons can't include dissection for a while. This was based on orders from Shinigami-sama, as well as the fact that Asura is still out there. That means I thought it would be a good idea to break you into teams and put you through training based on ability and your soul resonance teams." He explained, an unlit cigarette dancing between his lips as he spoke. "Before we do that however.." he slid backwards, pulling a string of something that was hiding the chalkboard, on which he had drawn a rather elaborate set of notes, maps, and various other means of explanation to highlight Asura and his movements. There was also a side box (made out of stitches) that explained how a kishin came into existence. "I think that we should go over his intention and the impeding madness that he is causing." Of course Stein wasn't as mad as he was previous, as he was allowed to teach again, but he still wasn't functioning at 100%, his soul wavelength sometimes shifted in erratic ways. He then proceeded to lecture for about five minutes, outlining in a very simple way what was on the board, watching his students take notes on what he was said and what he'd written. Then lit a cigarette and let out a deep breath.

Kid watched as Patty got up to go get dressed. He shook his head, laughing lightly, before he got up too. “Give me a few minutes to get ready,” he said, before he walked off in the opposite direction. He entered his large bedroom, opening the doors to his neatly organized closet and getting dressed in a black suit. He made sure his hair was combed and perfectly in place, not a hair out of place or the wrong length. Once he was thoroughly convinced that he looked just fantastic, he left the room to meet up with Liz and Patty, grabbing his school things on the way. “Alright, ladies. Let us embark on another day of Shibusen.”
Maka reached up to make sure her little skull clip was in place before she smiled and nodded, catching up to him. She locked the door behind them and followed him down the steps of the apartment building as the two of them departed for school. Once they arrived, they met up with the others and headed to class together, taking their seats next to their partners as soon as they got into the classroom. Except for Tsubaki, who sat next to an empty seat because Black Star’s laziness.
Maka, Kid, and the others listened to Stein as he lectured (some more than others and some not at all). Half way through the speech, the door to the classroom was kicked open and a stream of laughter followed shortly afterward. “Sorry I’m late Professor, but the hero always arrives late! YAHOO!” Black Star shouted at the top of his lungs, prancing into the room like he was some sort of God, which in his eyes, he was. The godliest god of the gods. Somewhere, in the crowd of students, there was the sound of a palm smacking against a face and then a sigh.
Kid rubbed the bridge of his nose. “Just shut up and sit down,” he said, uninterested. So much for a good Monday.
“Hey! Don’t ruin my entrance, dude! I thought we were friends,” Black Star answered.
“Yeah, and I thought you were decently sane,”
Black Star perked up, “What the hell did you just say?!”
Kid rolled his eyes, not really up for his antics and shenanigans. “Nothing, just sit down.” He could tell by the way Stein was watching Black Star that he was going to be in deep shit, there was no use for Kid to get himself in trouble too. Besides, Professor Stein usually dealt with things like this in a fairly effective way. Somehow, Black Star just continued though. Any other normal kid would have stopped after the dissection threats.
“So, what are we doing today?” Black Star asked as he started toward his seat.

Liz sat down, looking at the board and trying to copy down what was written there. This seemed to be the important lesson of the day, so she was paying close attention to the lesson. Hopefully this would help them in battle at some point.
Soul was paying attention, but was continuously distracted with a girl that kept giggling and waving at him to get his attention. When Black Star burst in, she took the opportunity to toss him a note. That declared her love for him and how she would be glad to aid in getting out of his unfortunate loss.
Stein raised his head as Black Star entered and glared at him. A look crossed his face that resembled how a rabies infested animal looked at its intended victim before the attack. His hand vanished from the chair into the pocket of his lab coat. As the blue haired assassin moved toward his seat, three scalpels flew from Stein's hand and attached the student to the wall by his clothing. Suchures then attached him to said wall, hanging upside down, chest pressed against the wall. "Alright then..." Stein added, moving his hand to temporarily seal Black Star's mouth. "As I was saying, we're going to work on the classes aim. How about everyone forms a line in the center of the classroom with their weapons and we can take aim at Black Star."
No one moved from their seats.
"You think I'm kidding?" He questioned, standing up, tossing a scalpel at Black Star, cutting some of his hair. "Come on, don't be shy. I'm a doctor."
With that said, everyone stood and moved forward, now gathered in small and large groups talking to one another. With this freedom however, almost all the girls in the class took the opportunity to flock over to Soul. Somehow, the entire school knew about the Basketball Bet (as they were calling it), and they all wanted Soul to know that they could help him. It also seemed that all of them had dressed for the occasion because they all had make up on and were dressed as if they were going to a party.

“H-Hey! Wait a minute, you’re kidding right? You can’t do that to a student! Especially not one like me, I’m too big for this!” Black Star cried. A loud, girly scream erupted from his throat as the scalpel nearly impaled his forehead. “Come on, Stein! I’m your favorite student!”
Maka glanced around the room, not exactly sure if she should get up or not. Everyone else did, but she lingered. Was he serious? Then again, Professor Stein didn’t joke when it came to matters like this. If you interrupted his class, you were surely going to be punished. When Soul and the others stood up and left their seats, Maka followed, only to be run over by the girls who had decided this was the best time to reenact the stampede scene from The Lion King. What’s going on? she wondered. Her moss green eyes followed the crowd, only to notice that they were being drawn to her partner.
Oh yeah, that.
She gave a sigh, knowing that the only way she’d be able to push her way through the thick layer of females in order to reach him was by wielding him and slicing a hole through. Grumbling quite childishly, she let herself blend into the swarm of students around her. Just another girl, wandering aimlessly. That was until she spotted Tsubaki, standing by herself, seeming wary.
“What? You’re not ecstatic about slicing open your meister?” she joked, with a smile, as she approached the shadow weapon.
“Splendid,” Kid spoke, standing up from his seat, his hands on the table in front of him as he watched everyone gather in the area in front of the student seating. “Professor Stein, may I request to be the first? Of course, in order to preserve balance, I would like two scalpels, please,” he teased as he made his way down the stairs in front of his partners.
Black Star flailed, “Traitor!” he squawked. “All of you are traitors! Tsubaki! Tell the professor I’m too big of a star for this!”

"My favorite student? I don't think so..." Stein stated, turning the screw in his head. This time he stopped it before it clicked. "Alright..." He walked over to another board and pulled up a projection screen that covered one of the board. This chalk board was the tallest in the room and went almost all the way up to the ceiling. And the entire board was covered. On it was the sorted all the student into groups of ten students. "Get into your groups." He stated, moving his hand which caused Black Star to fall the thirty feet to the ground loudly. "I've matched you with groups to balance out your powers. They're different from your soul resonance groups. But I do expect you to be able to use soul resonate with your new groups. The top three groups will get a secret present by orders of Shinigami-sama. Do your best." He smiled and waved at them.
Soul managed to get away from the girls and found himself standing between Kidd and Patti. He sighed, and looked up at the door, noticing that Stein had listed all the names of weapons and Meisters in a Soul-Maka, Tsubaki-Black Star, and Patti-Kidd-Liz, fashion in the groups. He was in group 2 with his normal soul resonance group, which combined with another group to include a trio-girl team that was on Soul's fanlist.
"Let's go outside, in your groups and we will work on group soul resonance. During which, there is something I want to show you." Once outside, Spirit was waiting for them, alone with Marie, Sid, and Naigus. Spirit and Marie both transformed, and Spirt grabbed onto the two and preformed soul resonance with them as Sid and Naigus did the same. Then the two groups came together with a blinding amount of soul power. Their power faded and the weapons turned back into their human forms. "Go and work on your groups. I'll be walking around and checking in on all of the groups."
In another ten minutes all of them were sorted into their groups in isolated sections of the woods. Liz was blowing the paint on her nails dry as they gathered into groups in a cluster of trees. "What are we supposed to be doing exactly? We already know how to soul resonate in groups. Well besides these three." She stated, dropping her nail polish in her purse.
Soul had his hands in his pockets and nodded. "Yeah, that's true, but we should work hard on this. If the top three get a present from Shinigami-sama it must be good." He walked over to Maka and transformed into his scythe and jumped into her hand. "We might as well get started."

Black Star jumped to his feet once he was set free from the stupid binding threads. He met up with the others and crossed his arms, making a face that showed he was annoyed. “I hate this class,” he grumbled.
Kid didn’t seem all that fazed when Stein brought up the idea of expanding their resonance groups. It only meant that he could become stronger and a better Shinigami, which sounded good to him. “Wonderful...” he whispered under his breath as he watched the teachers resonate together, his golden eyes taking in everything he saw. I want to be able to do that, he thought. At this point he could resonate with two weapons, which alone required much more than resonance with one weapon.
After the demo was over, Spirit spun around in a dance like fashion. Maka, wasn’t your Papa cool? he thought, blue eyes focusing on her in a way that would have appeared creepy to anyone else witnessing it. Next, he brought his hand up to his lips, kissed it, and waved the hand at her, only to find that she was slowly easing her way behind a few people, clearly uncomfortable. He still didn’t understand what was so strange about a father showering their child with love, even if it was in a classroom, in the middle of a lesson.
“Why is he so weird?” someone whispered in the crowd of students and Maka cowered further.
Soon, the rest of the teachers left and the students were required to get in their teams and begin. Maka caught Soul as he transformed, spinning the scythe around until it rested on her shoulder. Kid held out both hands, catching his twin pistols; and Black Star jumped up (shouting something rid) before he caught Tsubaki. One of the three girls gave a giggle before she spun around, body shifting to a weapon which attached to her meister’s arm. The other gave a sigh, did the same spin - though clearly not as enthusiastically as the other girl - and attached herself, in weapon format, to the meister’s other arm.
Black Star threw up an arm, “Let’s go team, yahoo!”

Soul watched the display with interest, unsure of what it was like to have that kind of power... To effortlessly sync wavelengths with others in order to enter battle. As a death scythe, he'd have to find a way to line himself up with Shinigami-sama, something that had never occurred to him until now. Honestly, it was hard for him to be wielded by anyone except Maka. Once they were in groups, he was ready to get started with this lesson. Unlike classroom lessons, things like this were of interest to him.
Liz and Patti nodded, looking toward one another, turning into beams of light at the same time and flew into Kidd's hands, making sure that they met his body at the same time. Sighing, Liz wondered how long this training session was going to last, but she was glad she was in weapon form. It meant her nail polish wouldn't smudge.
Tsubaki smiled and transformed, landing in Black Star's hand. "Alright, Black Star, let's be sure to do our best, okay?" She exclaimed, unsure of how well this was going to go. The last time they attempted this, Black Star and Maka clashed personalities. She hoped that this would go better than previous attempts, and that they could accept these girls into their group without issue.
Soul's face appeared in the blade as he watched Maka. She was almost always the leader of most situations. He smiled and was ready to resonate souls with her. "Are you ready Maka?" he asked, knowing that they had to start somewhere. He liked the fact that Maka was decisive and a born leader. For him, it was easier to just go along with what she wanted as long as she was safe. "Let's go! Soul Resonance!"

Maka took her position between Black Star, Kid, and the girl she recognized as Regina. The wind began to pick up around them, a light blue aura surrounding the four. She and Kid connected first, then they picked up Black Star, and attempted to connect with the fourth member, but it failed at first. Their souls flickering and disconnecting the group entirely. This shouldn’t have been this hard considering they were still in their previous teams and had mastered resonating together. Could one more person really make a difference? “Let’s try again,”
Black Star groaned, “Again!” he shouted. “Let’s do it right this time!”
Kid kept his cool, realizing that this probably wasn’t going to go super smoothly. He had expected too much the first time the three of them had resonated, only to realize that it would take much more work. There was no point in expecting things to turn out perfectly the first time around - despite how much imperfection bugged him. “We need to connect more slowly. Regina, you’re being a little too aggressive. Since the three of us have resonated before, you should try and accept our lead,” he said, politely and with a smile. He wasn’t trying to upset or offend her. He simply wanted to offer some advice so they could do it better next time.
The weapon on her right arm sighed. "Man, this is dumb."

Regina tossed her dirty blonde hair to the side, scoffing at them. "Oh please! Why are you three acting all high and mighty. I am the one who has the most power here. Face up to the fact that you should let me lead because I have the stronger soul resonance!" She flipped her hair back with her hair and held up her blade weapons. "Okay, how about this, I'll connect with Maka and then we'll pick up the loud mouthed loser and the prince." She winked at Kidd and let out a sigh to calm herself.
"Alright Maka, Let me try to connect to your soul wavelength." Her soul moved out and she connected to her soul wavelength (without giving her much say in the matter) and then turned, trying to attach to Kidds. Suddenly however, the connection broke as she lost focus, and immediately pointed at Maka. "This is all your fault. You want this to fail because you're not as womanly as myself and my weapons, am I correct?"
Liz sighed. "This is going to take forever." Her face appeared on the side of her pistol and Patti did the same on her own. "Yeah... can we shoot this girl Kidd? Just one shot? Please?" The younger demon pistol added with a quiet laugh.
Soul grumbled under his breath. Well it looked like they weren't going to win with this guys attitude.
