The basketball court was dark, lit up by only by the few remaining street lights that hadn’t been broken by Black Star yet, but it wasn’t anywhere near quiet (again, mainly because of Black Star). There were a few grunts every now and then from the guys whenever they high-fived each other over a shot, along with Patti’s squealing whenever she dunked, and the agonized groan from whoever she stepped on in order to achieve that dunk. Every now and again, Kid would patronize one of his teammates for not holding the ball symmetrically and beg for do-overs from the opposing team, only to be denied and laughed at. Ah, friends.
Despite the liveliness of the court, Maka had decided to sit out that particular game. Not for any special reason. Liz was attending this game, which gave both sides an equal amount of players. Between the two of them, Liz was far more educated in the game of basketball than Maka, making her a more valued player. She didn’t mind though. She had a warm spot on the bench beside the court, immersed in her newest book, a flash light helping to illuminate the words that otherwise would have blended into the night. Occasionally, she would glance up whenever the group of players cheered over something, smiling along with them even though she had no idea what was going on.
“Simply superb!” Kid announced as the orange basketball he’d thrown seconds ago flew through the net with nothing but a ‘swish’ to prove it.
“That was luck!” Black Star shouted, fist in the air, “everyone has luck!”
“No, that was a perfectly calculated shot. Unlike you, I prefer to plan out my actions rather than jumping head first into the situation,” the reaper replied.
The blue haired assassin grabbed the ball as it bounced over, “Bull!” he shouted. “Watch this ‘perfectly calculated’ shot!” He slammed the ball onto the pavement, the sound of rubber and cement colliding echoing through the court. The ball bounced off the ground and flew toward the basket, hitting the backboard and flying backward. Someone called a rushed, “head’s up”, before the ball smacked the flashlight out of Maka’s hand, the light source tumbling to the ground and flickering before it shut off.
“Hey!” she shouted in reply. “I’m not an expert, but I’m pretty sure that was a foul!” She gave a glare in his direction before she reached down to search for her flashlight.
Black Star rubbed the back of his head, “Sorry!” he called before turning back around, picking up the ball that rolled off into the darkness. “Let me try this again.” He positioned himself in his previous spot and attempted to throw the ball again but Kid grabbed it out of his hand.
“Let’s not...” he said, making a face that was similar to what a facepalm would look like had it been an actual emotion capable of being displayed on the human face. “I feel like it would be a crime against humanity if I let you attempt that again.”

Liz grumbled, twisting her shoulders and trying to rub the kinks out of her back. Why had Patty used her as a ladder? Sure, she was taller than Kidd, but it wasn't as if she wanted her shoulders to be sore. That and this game had caused her nails to chip. No doubt when they left Kidd would chew her out because the polish on one hand was non symmetrical in the other. Not to mention they had seven points as compared to the eight points that Soul's team had.
...And here came Blackstar's stupid dick move of the play. Sighing, she ran the back of her hand over her sweaty brow and stood up, knowing that this wasn't going to end the way the assassin thought it would. So she just waited to see what would happy. Patty was not far from her side and it made her roll her eyes seeing the innocent look on her sister's face, admiring the confidence of the blue haired Meister. "Ooooh!" Patty called loudly. "Do you really think it will go in?" she called, louder as if to rival Blackstar's loudness. Her mouth was slightly open in an 'O' shape, blue eyes intently focused. "What do you think Liz? Will he make it?"
"Blackstar..." Tsubaki called from across the court as he tried to create his own perfect shot. "I don't think..." She winced when the ball slammed into Maka's flashlight, causing a beam to dance around the pavement, flickering in various directions, illuminating bushes, trees, and buildings.
Soul turned around just as the ball flew out of bounds toward the bench. "Maka!" he called just before the ball slammed into her hand. He felt at ease, knowing that it hit the flash light rather than her. "Idiot!" he called at Blackstar, his teammate who almost killed his Meister. "What're you trying to do? I don't want a new Meister! Idiot..." He sighed, running his hands through his messy white-silvery hair. His heart was starting to calm from it's rapid beats as the ball was retrieved (and Kidd rather quickly took it back). Soul had never been so happy to see the ball in the hands of an opponent. Maka looked fine, and were running out of time, so he wasn't going to let himself being distracted.
As Kidd began a new play, Soul followed close behind him, trying to knock the ball from his hand toward Tsubaki, who was open. He gave her a simple look to put forth his intentions before a body came between his and Kid's. He grumbled, noticing Liz protecting the Shinigami as he moved to shoot. Suddenly, Soul grinned, his gagged teeth connecting, a small drip of drool escaping his lips. "Hey! Do you see those shadows moving in the bushes? Looks like a ghost to me!" he called.
Hearing this, the hair on the back of Liz's hair stood up and she spun around fast as she could, looking at the moving shadows as wind blew through the bushes. Soul ran by her toward Kid and her head turned, noticing what happened. "H-Hey!" She yelled loudly, running after him.
Patty shifted across the court, a distance from Kid, just out of bounds of the hoop and ready to take a shot, despite the fact Blackstar was now running toward her. "Kid! Kid!" she called, moving her arms and sliding in front of the assassin.

Kid gave a smirk, faking a move toward the left, quickly moving to the right and tossing the ball to Patty. "Hey, stop scaring my teammates!" he called over to Soul as he ran down the court toward the opposing teams basket so he could catch any shot that was directed toward him. Everyone else headed his way as they followed Patty and the ball. He sent a look to Liz that told her to position herself at the other side of the basket.
BlackStar grumbled under his breath. "Not fair, Kid get's to show off his stupid throws. Why can't I?" he asked, missing the fact that they had begun playing. He quickly caught up, trying to get in front of Patty when Kid threw the ball her way, but she jumped in front of him before he could, causing him to groan. He followed her down the court, jumping up and smacking the ball out of her hands as she went to shoot, directing it toward Soul, who was near by. "Soul!" he called, as if the boy hadn't already had his attention on it. Just like that, the ball was headed in the opposite direction. Damnit, why didn't he grab the ball? He wanted to make the shot! He was the star after all!
Kid watched the ball as it was smacked out of Patty's hands, positioning himself to catch it but he missed it by an inch, instead it landed in the hands of the white haired weapon. Before he knew it, the ball was already almost half way down the court, heading toward their basket. He pushed himself forward, running after them. "Come on, Liz! I told you not to wear heels to a basketball game!" he called to the girl behind him, focusing his attention back on the game. He forced himself to run faster, reaching forward to knock the ball out of Soul's hands. His fingers slid across the orange surface of the ball, but it budged just barely. "Patty! Head's up!" he signaled to the girl up ahead so she could intercept the shot that was going to be attempted in just a few seconds.
Before he could move any further, there was a face in front of him. Black Star, sticking out his tongue and nearly giving him a heart attack. What was this now? Peekaboo? He rolled his eyes, smirking. The boy didn't stick around long enough. Black Star never liked the idea of guarding, he always just went straight for the ball. Didn't surprise him at all, to be honest.
"Girls!" he called, knowing that he was too far back to be able to grab the ball before it went through the hoop. It was all on them now.

Patty caught the ball in front of Black star, childishly sticking out her tongue at him as she ran off, dribbling the ball against the pavement. As she moved across the court, she spun around to protect the ball from Black Star's slapping hands, twisting her small frame to make sure that she didn't let Kidd down. Well, that and the fact she really wanted to win this game! She lost the last time she played.
Holding up her arms, she tossed the ball toward the hoop, only to see a loudest Meister catch it midair a few feet from the rim and run off with the ball. "H-Hey!" she called loudly in her high childish voice as if a toy had been taken for her. "Come back here!" She yelled, chasing after him.
Liz gritted her teeth. "I didn't expect to actually play!" She yelled toward her Meister, bending down to unzip the back of her heels. After unzipping one, she pulled it off her foot and tossed it aside. Then kicked her foot until the other one came off and flew near Maka clattering across the pavement in front of her. Running down the court barefoot, she kept a distance from both Patty and Kidd to make sure they had somewhere to throw the ball. That and the fact she wanted this game to be over so she could go home and do a facial.
Black Star was seriously going to pass him the ball? Since when did he share the glory? Then again, he probably assumed that they would screw up and he'd get it back. That or winning was so important to him and he forgot. Grabbing the ball, Soul moved down the court, dribbling as fast as he could. They were ahead by one point, and if they scored another it would be almost impossible for them to catch up and win the game, especially since they were nearing the end. The game had already been extended because they had been tied ten minutes ago. As Kidd started to come toward him, Soul passed the ball to Tsubaki for a moment.
Tsubaki ran down the court a head of Soul, able to move faster. Her sneakers slammed into the pavement as she ran forward, only to get cut off by Patty, and to avoid losing the ball, she threw it behind her, twisting her body, causing her to stumble. Soul grabbed the flying orange object and moved away from Kidd at just the right angle so that the Shinigami's fingers just brushed the ball. A grin met his lips coyly as he ran down the court.
"Righto!" Pattie yelled back to Kidd, holding up her hand in a salute before running toward Soul, moving in front of his body, twisting her body back and forth. He faked left and then went right, only to have his bluff called, Patty right beside him, twisting around him, trying to pull the ball or knock it away.
Gritting his teeth, Soul jumped up to toss the ball into the hoop, watching it move forward, and a smile came to his face. Yes! They were going to make it! Yes! FUCK Yes! they won! they won! And then the sky opened up, laughing at the newest death scythe, as Patty punching the ball violently out of his hands. "Victory!" she called, holding up a V with her fingers before running after the bounding object as it dribbled itself across the court.
Liz grabbed the ball before Tsubaki could and started to move rapidly toward the other side of the court. The shape-shifting weapon persued her, focusing on the orange ball, stumbling on one of the heels on the court and fell, taking out Liz's legs in the process. The ball flew into the air not far from the basket, slammed into the backboard, slid across the edge of the rim and fell inside. Shock registered on her face, turning her body to look at the female holding her legs, and then toward her Meister and sister.
A broad smile met her lips and she jumped up, cheering in a Patty sort of fashion. "Yes!" she cried victoriously. "I did it! Take that!" She turned around and pointed at kid in a unsymmetrical pose.

Kid fist pumped the air with both hands. "Success!" he shouted, quietly. "Good work, team." He made his way over to the girls, high-fiving them both, at the time and same angle, of course. He made his way over to one of the benches, picking up his jacket and the towel he'd brought along, draping it over his shoulders so it could absorb the small beads of sweat at the back of his neck.
Black Star frowned. "Hey, wait a minute! That was a cheap shot!" he shouted.
Kid rolled his eyes, tossing the blue haired boys own towel at his face. "Shut your mouth, jealously is a foul trait to have," he said, smirking. "We won, fairly. This means that my furniture is safe yet another day. Speaking of which..." he put on his jacket, letting the towel drape around his shoulders. He pulled the ends, pointing at Soul with a smirk. "You know what that means, right?"
Black Star laughed, loudly. "That's right! Last time I had to buy dinner for all of you faggots, this ones all on you, Soul," he said, using his towel to wipe off the back of his neck and his forehead. He tossed it over on of his shoulders.
Maka zipped up her jacket, shivering lightly as she stood up. She tucked a bookmark into her book and shut it, flipping off her flashlight and making her way over to the others gathered underneath one of the streetlights. She snuck up behind Soul, shining the flashlight at the back of his head, trying to scare him. Shutting it off when he turned around, she laughed. "I thought for sure you guys would win this time around, especially since I sat out," she said, looking over at them, handing Soul his towel.
Black Star shrugged. "We were supposed to win, but because Kid complained about so much stuff and held us up so many times, we got worn out. It's no big deal since next time I will win no matter what. I'll win against all of you," he bragged, continuing to go on despite that pretty much everyone had stopped listening to him.
"What did you guys bet on this time anyway?" she asked.
Kid put his hands into his pockets, looking up. "Oh, we decided to play dirty thi-"
"We were gonna move all of Kid's couches and chairs around and cover them with different colored blankets. But we lost so now Soul has to go on out with one of those girls who, for some reason, like him. Who knew I wasn't the only one with fan girls? HAHA!" Black Star shouted, pulling a candy bar out of his pocket.
Maka blinked for a minute, raising an eyebrow. "Oh," she muttered, simply, pretending the idea didn't bother her as much as it actually did. It wasn't like he was going to leave her to be someone else's partner, right? She had nothing to worry about. "Well, that's a nice change for him then. All he does is lay around the house anyway," she joked, shoving the flashlight into the frontal pocket of the jacket she was wearing, allowing her hands to rest there. She cleared her throat, "Anyway.."

Tsubaki smiled and walked over to Black Star. "All things considered, that wasn't all that unfair, even though Liz should have thrown both of her shoes off the court. But I should have been paying more attention. That was the most interesting way someone has won, and even you have to admit that it was a fantastic shot."
Liz returned the high five at the same time as Patty to make sure they didn't have to do it again. She couldn't believe that she pulled off something like that, but it just made things so much sweeter than usual. A smile came to her lips and she grabbed the heel that Tsubaki had tripped over and then started to hunt around for the other one. When she finally found it, she put them both on and zipped them up. Shifting her weight between them to situation her sore feet in the heels, she sighed. All that running barefoot left her feet throbbing and her legs slightly sore. This game lasted too long. She was definitely sitting the next one out. Oh well, at least they won, and she was the victor of her team.
Patty giggled and nodded. "Yep! This time it was Black Star's idea originally. He even picked out a girl." She chimed in, the ball resting against her right hip, which was leaning into it.
Liz walked over, moving her long chocolate colored hair from her neck and holding it against the back of her head. "But I thought it would be better if he got to choose considering the fact that it was a date." She pulled the towel Kidd had around his neck from him and wiped the sweat from her body, intent on ignoring any objects he might raise. "I'm glad we won though. Now I don't have to listen to Kidd freakout for the remainder of the night and reorganize the house." Wiping her face with the towel, she sighed, knowing that she was going to need a shower and full facial after this.
Soul glared in Black Star's direction. Maka had agreed to watch, but she was too interested in her book to hear what they wanted him to do should his team lose. And everyone was so thrilled with Black Star's stupid idea that there was no way he could get out of it. Not to mention that of COURSE they had to lose his game. He thought that the fact he had Black Star and Tsubaki guaranteed he would win. Now he wish that Maka could have played because the lack of symmetry on the other team would have distracted Kidd and Maka's overall lack of skill (and the fact that Liz scored the winning point) meant that he would have won and they would have been able to rearrange Kidd's house.
Shoving his hands into his pockets, he turned his head as a flashlight shined and he grinned faintly at Maka, taking the towel from her. "Thanks." he stated, rubbing the sweat from the back of his neck and face. Letting the fluffy white towel rest on his shoulders, he started to wonder which one of his charming fans he was going to ask to go out with him. And by charming, most of them were brainless idiots that were only interested because he was a Death Scythe. Some of his fans had beautiful bodies that he could compare to Blaire's human form, and he was leaning toward one of those. It was only dinner, and it wasn't as if he had to marry them right?
"I'll pick the girl tonight and tell you tomorrow." He informed them, picking up a bottle of water. if they were going to make him do this, then he should at least be able to take his time in choosing who, when and where. As long as it happened at some point this week, they had no means to complain. Not that they would. They were his friends.
"Tch..." Soul added to Maka. "It's better than reading or studying." he countered, but then rubbed the back of his head. "Come on. Let's go home. I need a shower and I'm tired." He stated, rather blandly. It was late at night after all.
Liz nodded in agreement. "I'm with Soul on this one. I could definitely use a bath and some sleep." Resting her arm on Patty's shoulder, she relaxed her body against her sister's. "Ugh I'm exhausted. This is the last game I'm playing for a while."
Tsubaki giggled softly. "I think that sounds like a good idea for all of us. We have classes in the morning. Come on Black Star, we should get back too."

Kid jumped as his towel was stolen, making a slightly disgruntled and pouty face, but allowing her to take it anyway. He fixed the rings on his fingers, making sure the skulls were perfectly up right before he looked at the two girls beside him. "Yeah, I agree. I still need to make a swipe of the house to make sure the paintings are in order and that the candles have burnt down the same."
Black Star smirked. "Sleep is for the weak. How are you guys already tired? We're going home to do five hundred push-ups and twelve hundred sit-ups before we go to sleep, right Tsubaki?" he asked, looking over at his partner. He didn't bring up the fact that he still had homework piled up that he hadn't finished or even started. The teachers had eventually given up on badgering him about it. It wasn't exactly getting anywhere. Whenever he did turn something in, they usually assumed he'd just copied it off of Tsubaki.
He turned around to walk off. "Make sure you pick a good one, Soul. Boobs and all that, so when she finds out how boring you are and decides she likes me better, then she'll be Black Star approved!" he shouted before turning to Tsubaki. "Hey, I'll race you back home!" With that, he was off, a cloud of dust trailing after him.
Maka watched him as he ran off. "How does he still have that much energy?" she wondered, mostly to herself. And why the heck were guys so into boobs anyway? She was pretty sure most girls weren't that worried about a guy's assets - she cut off her thought process at that point, her face reddening slightly. She turned around quickly. "Bye everyone! Come on, Soul," she squeaked out, stomping off into the darkness toward wherever his motorcycle was parked. Eventually, she found it by running into it. Luckily, it didn't tip over, but her toe hurt like hell now..."You need to get glow in the dark stickers for this."
Kid blinked, slightly confused. "Goodnight everyone, pleasant dreams!" he said, giving a nod toward them before he turned around, facing the two girls. "Well then, ladies. Shall we depart?" He gave a smile and started to walk, feeling them fall in behind him. A wave of relief washed over him knowing he would go home and his furniture would remain untouched.

Liz sighed. When they first met, she would have told Kid that no one was in the house since they left and therefore nothing would have been moved. However, she had long since come to terms with the fact that he had to do it or he would bolt out of bed at some point during the night, and cry out, before running around the house and making sure everything was just right. She would rather see him freak out while she was awake and then wake up in the middle of the night and have to comfort a frantic Kid.
Tsubaki smiled weakly at Black Star as he went on a rant about sleeping being for the weak. There was no point in arguing with him, she had learned that long ago. It was best to just agree with him. "Don't you think it would be a better use of your time if we did some homework instead? You haven't done any all week and you promised that you would do some today. Then you said you'd do it after a game. Since you're not tired and full of energy, it would be the perfect time to write a paper or two, don't you think so Black Star?" She stated, putting her hands together, as if trying to plead with him. "I'll make you something to eat while you work to keep your mind moving. what do you say?" Before she could finish he ran off, and she sighed. "Good night everyone! Have a good night, we'll see you at school tomorrow!" She waved, and ran off after Black Star, trying to catch up with him.
Soul shrugged. "That's black star for ya." he stated before starting to walk with Maka toward his motorcycle. "See ya!" he waved off toward the Shinigami and his twin pistols. As they walked, Maka a few steps ahead of him (as if he couldn't tell she wasn't angry with him...), he adjusted his headband before he saw her bump into his bike. A smile came to his jagged teeth and he chuckled. "Yeah, we could get something like that if it would help. Straddling the seat, he put in the key and started it up. "Come on Maka, let's get home. I need a shower." he stated with a yawn, a small drop of drool collecting in the corner of his mouth. The wall of ice she was putting up between them was testimony to how mad she was about this whole thing. "You realize that I didn't want to lose right? It was Black Star's idea..." He stated, as if trying to defend himself from the consequences.
Liz watched Soul and Maka leave with a hand on her hip. Shaking her head, she sighed and turned back to Kidd and Patty. "if he doesn't pick Maka, then he's just an idiot." She stated flatly, turning to Patty, who was energetically running toward the house with her arms out, making airplane sounds. Running her hand through her bangs and then over her scalp to move her hair from her face (she wasn't wearing her hat), she started to follow beside Kid. "What do you think Kid? Who do you think he's going to pick?" The older of the sisters questioned.
Once reaching the house, Liz watched Patty unlock the door and fell onto the couch limply. "Kid! Patty!" She called as he started to inspect the house. "Is there a chance one of you will run me a bath?"
Patty walked over to the couch and laughed, tickling her. "Come on, sis! You won the game for us! You should be more energetic."
Laughing and kicking Patty away, she drew her legs toward her body and took off her heels and tossed them in front of the couch onto the floor. "Don't even!" She pointed at Kid before he could say something, and she knew hew was going to. "I'll move them into my room when I get up to go take my bath. So shh!" She stated, almost childishly.
Patty popped her head back into the room. "Liz! I'm running you a bath like you asked!" She chimed. "If you don't get in here now, then I'm going to take one first!"
Liz waved her hand back and forth. "Go ahead Patty. I want to lay in there for a while, so it would be a waste for me to go in and be in there for a while." Pushing herself off the couch, she tossed her shoes into her room and closed the door so Kid wouldn't be tempted to clean it.

Black Star shook his head. "Homework? PSH! Homework is for losers! I know I'm the best, I don't need no sheet of paper to tell me so!" he shouted as they ran back toward their apartment. He glanced back when she mentioned food. "Well, I guess I can do a few things if you make me something to eat...Onigiri! That's what I want. Can you make it for me?" he asked. Tsubaki was Japanese, just like him, and therefore she was amazing at Asian cuisine, his favorite. "Or those little wiener things that you make to look like octopi. Those are good too! Oh and some tea! YAHOO!" he screamed as they ran down the street. Someone opened their window and told him to shut up, but he continued running and ignored them.
Maka frowned. "Yeah, well..." she mumbled, staring at his back as he drove the motorcycle, her arms loosely wrapped around his waist. "I'm not your mom, I'm not going to tell you not to date girls. I mean, you should date girls. And I'm not angry!" she defended, almost childishly. "Unless you go on this date and come back to tell me you want to change partners, then I'll be angry," she said, glancing up at the back of his head, watching his white hair as it fluttered around in the wind. She was quiet for a minute before she said, "And also Soul, if you want to impress a girl, don't talk about her boobs in front of her. I'm just letting you know now before she smacks you and runs out halfway through."
Kid pushed his key into the lock of Gallow's Manor, opening the twin doors at the same time. He walked in down the center of the hallway, his hands at his sides, and glanced around. He picked up a ruler and made his way over to the candles, blowing them out and measuring them. He shook his head, standing up. "This just won't do. No no no!" He picked up both of the wax sticks and tossed them out, even though there was still plenty left to use. He opened a cabinet, taking out two new candles and placing them in the spot where the old ones had been sitting. He lit them and stepped back. "Delightful. Simply perfect." He let out a sigh of relief before he turned around to notice Liz laying on the couch. His face froze in a horrific position.
No.
No...
NO!
Rushing over, he picked up her shoes. "Have you gone mad?! These do not belong here! And certainly not in that position! Do you honestly hate me that much? Do you, Liz?" he questioned, rushing the shoes over to the shoe storage area, making sure they were placed perfectly upright. "See, this is where the shoes go. Oh dear...PATTY?! Where have you placed your shoes? Please do not tell me you have taken them to the bathroom with you!" He ran down the hallway to the bathroom where Patty was bathing. "I've told you, bathrooms do not house shoes. The tiles will smudge and you'll leave scuff marks!" He barged into the bathroom, clearly not caring that she was undressing, and picked up the shoes. "Also, remember to drop the clothing into the hamper," he said as he walked out.
He made his way back into the living room and shook his head. "You girls..." He placed Patty's shoes beside Liz's and took out a broom, starting to sweep.

Tsubaki sighed, shaking her head, but she smiled and caught up with Black Star. "Come on Black Star, if you're the best, why don't you balance your academic and fighting performances. Then everyone else could see how much effort you put into everything. Then everyone would know how powerful and smart you are! An enemy in battle!" She giggled as they got home and went into the kitchen. "I'll make you some origini and some tea to help you do your homework. I'll make you those octopus sausages later after you finish as a midnight snack before dinner. How does that sound?" She asked, happily.
Soul smiled, feeling better about this situation. He was glad that she was at least pretending not to be angry. Maybe she wouldn't be too angry. "I'd never want to change partners. You're the ultimate meister that made me into a Scythe. I just want to make sure you're not upset. No one could ever replace you Maka, I promise." He looked at one of the intersections as he blazed through it, blushing just slightly. Did he really just say that? What about when Shinigami-sama planned to wield him? Well... that wouldn't be for a while. Now he had to focus on picking a girl and taking care of his side of the bet. "Don't worry Maka. I won't mention that. I've only ever made fun of you for it because we're so close. I wouldn't go around telling all girls about it." He shrugged his shoulders as he moved through the empty streets of Death City. Even though it was almost 11, he still felt like it was early.
"Maka?" He questioned, red eyes moving to look at her for a brief second. "I don't feel like going home right now. Do... you want to go for a ride?"
Patti turned, shirt tangled in her arms as the door opened and Kidd entered, lecturing her about shoes. "Kidd!" She whined, but didn't bother to turn away from the Shinigami who wasn't admiring her pink underwear. She whined, and waited for him to leave until she undressed and jumped into the shower. After she was in the shower, she loudly started to sing a song about giraffes.
"Kiiiiidd!" Liz whined, picking up her head from the pillow on the couch. "Please... can't you take a chill pill for ten minutes? I'm tired and I SAVED you from letting Black Star and Soul rearrange the house. You should be thanking me by letting me put my shoes where I want for ten minutes." Sighing, she sat up and rubbed her temples. Walking into the kitchen, she grabbed a drink from the fridge (messing up the symmetry of balanced beverages) and went back to lay on the couch, flipping on the T.V. and started to flip through channels, waiting for Patti to get out of the shower.
"Hey! Kidd, do we have any of that left over pizza we ordered last night? I could really use something to eat after that workout." Seeing him go back to examining the pictures she sighed, slouching on the couch. Though she was used to his eccentric behavior, she was easily irritated with it, especially when she was tired. "Why are all the rich ones crazy or ugly..." She muttered to herself, rubbing her face.

Maka smiled, laughing lightly. "That's good to hear. I'd never replace you either. I don't think I could handle living with anyone else anyway," she said, glancing over his shoulder and at the road. She smirked. "I know, I just figured I'd let you know in case you felt the need to bring it up." As they sped up, she tightened her grip on him. The first time he'd asked her to ride on his motorcycle with him, she had freaked out, afraid for her life. However, it was actually really exhilarating and she understood why he'd chosen it over walking or driving something normal, like a car. Eventually, the fear had melted away when she realized she could put her trust in him without dying.
"I'm fine with a ride," she said with a smile, her fingers intertwining around each other. All of her homework was already finished and they didn't have any tests they needed to study for in the near future so they could relax a little, right? She didn't really feel like going home either. Despite that it was late, she wasn't exactly tired. Then again, she'd conserved energy by sitting and reading a book instead of playing - and failing - basketball with them. It had been a nice night actually, especially in the midst of the whole Asura and Chrona being gone thing. They didn't get much time to spend how they wanted. "Let's stop at Death-Mart and get drinks, I'm thirsty."
Kid made a face. "Leftovers? No, I threw those out. Order another. I prefer fresh food to left overs anyway," he said, sweeping up around the coffee table. He put the broom away and took a seat in one of the chairs, sighing. His legs hurt terribly, not to mention he'd fallen once during their game. On his ass. On the hard, cement ground. His tooshy was in dire need of his soft, mattress and silk sheets. "Why wasn't this game scheduled for Saturday night and not a Sunday night? I don't know if I'll be able to go to school tomorrow. I still haven't thoroughly cleaned the house." He shook his head, acting like a house wife. He looked over at her, noticing her displeasure and he sighed, getting up.
He came back with a phone, handing it to her. "Alright, order whatever you want, how much you want. You deserve it since you won the game and saved my - our house from being demolished," he said, disgusted by the thought of his mansion being toyed with. Perfect interior design wasn't child's play.

"Who else would be able to live with you Maka?" He teased, chuckling as the two of them moved out into the night. "And thanks for worrying about my dating life. I'll make sure to give you advice when a guy comes to get your attention." he winked at her, slowing down as he turned a sharp corner. He could have taken that a little better, but oh well. They were alive and he didn't skid too bad. Good! That mean they could go for a late night ride somewhere. He wasn't sure what they were going to do, or where they were going, but he was sure he could find something. Driving out on the sands where always an interesting challenge. And there was nothing around for miles. It would be chilly outside of the city, but he had his jacket with him, in case Maka got cold.
Heading down the main road for Death-Mart, Soul slowed down so he wouldn't hit the building. Once they were there, he turned off his bike and pushed the kickstand down with his foot. "Come on. I want to grab some stuff too." He stated as they went inside together, Soul shoving his keys into his pocket.
The cashier looked up at the two of them from a magazine he was reading. Pointing to another corner of the store, he added "Condoms and all your other late night needs are over there."
Soul's face lit up and he grabbed the closest thing to him (which happened to be a stack of cups) and threw them at the cashier. "That's not why we're here..." He grumbled, looking down at the ground as they walked over toward the fridges that lined the back of the store.
Threw them out? MONSTER! That was the best pizza she ever had! Rolling her eyes, she leaned back into the couch, moving her legs so he could sweep around her legs. Noticing how he squirmed when he sat, she wondered if he hurt himself when he fell during the game. Truthfully, it had been funny to see him fall as he did, and he blew it off as if it didn't hurt. "Because Black Star was in charge." She explained the reasoning behind why it was on Sunday. Nothing else really had to be said.
"Oh Kidd..." Liz complained, leaning forward, flicking his forehead when he mentioned her salvation of his symmetry. A smile appeared on her face and she shook her head. "Sometimes I worry about you. What did you ever do without me?" She teased, leaning back into the couch, raising the phone before hitting talk and dialing the all the numbers except the last one. Pausing, she looked over at him. "Do you want anything?" She questioned, moving her bangs from her blue eyes. Though her intent was to bleed him dry at first, she did care more about his well being now.
Patti came out of the bathroom in a towel, pointing at her sister. "I want pizza! An extra large with cheese and meatballs!" She announced as she went into her room. She pushed the door almost all the way closed and started to change.
Liz nodded and put the last number in, ordering what they wanted and put it on Death's tab. Standing, she put her arms above her head and cracked her shoulders before walking toward the bathroom, starting to disrobe in the process. Instead of a long bath, she opted for a shower, knowing the food would be there soon. When she exited, she drifted into her room and dressed quickly, bringing lotion with her into the living room, putting it on her legs and arms in the middle of the couch.
Patti was laying on the floor on her stomach, legs in the air, swinging back and forth. She was absorbed in some kind of animal show about Giraffes, singing her song softly so she could still hear the narrator.
"Kidd?" Liz mumbled, closing her lotion and putting it on the edge of the table. "I have a headache, can you rub my head?" She glanced over at him tiredly. "Please?"

"If I didn't live with you, I'd have to live with my father," she said, making a displeased face. She did love her father, but she couldn't imagine living with him anymore. Especially when he had his spaz attacks, which came frequently. Laughing, she flicked his shoulder as they got off the bike. "I'm just trying to be a good friend. I could even dress you up, if you want. She'd fall even more in love with you if you came to your date in a nice tuxedo." Why was she telling him this? Did she WANT to make it worse? Smirking, she looked up at him. "I'll keep that in mind, thanks."
Maka's face was instantly the darkest shade of red and she sputtered out a few sounds before she grabbed the sleeve of Soul's jacket making her way toward the line of refrigerators with him. "C-Creep!" she said, under her breath but still rather loudly. "It's always the weirdos that work here this late!" The blush stayed on her face as she searched for a drink, her fingers fumbling and knocking over a bottle. She leaned down to pick it up and set it back up on the rack, sighing. She picked out a bottle of some type of mango-citrus drink without really reading the label. "What else did you say you needed?" she asked, glancing down the isle and at the cashier again before her olive eyes flickered back to her drink, twisting off the cap. She was too thirsty to wait until they left the store.
Kid raised an eyebrow. "I would be an asymmetrical mess without you. I simply could not wield just Patty alone," he teased, giving her a smirk. He looked up as Patty came out of the bathroom in a towel, not really phased - he did live with two girls after all - and pointed to Liz. "She's the Ms. Order-Girl. Speaking of which, order me a few boxes of chinese - Mushu Pork please," he said smiling. He watched as Patty switched on the TV, magically finding a program about giraffes. How the hell did she manage that? She could track down giraffes like no one's business. On one of their missions to a foreign country, she had found a real one and decided she wanted to take it home. Luckily, it had escaped from the local zoo and could no be owned, otherwise he was pretty sure she would have managed to bring it home somehow.
He glanced over at Liz, blinking. "Of course," he said, "Allow me a second, please." He got up and made his way into the kitchen where he got a cloth and warmed it, bringing it back into the living room. He sat down on the couch next to her, placing a pillow in his lap and letting her lay her head down on it. He placed the warm cloth on her forehead and began to message her temples, his fingers working together to move in sync, making small circles. He was fairly good at massages, and was constantly bugged by the two whenever they had headaches or backaches. However, he didn't do feet. That was just gross. Especially girly heel feet. Yuck...
"Patty, listen for the doorbell, alright?" he asked, looking over at her.

Soul wondered how Maka would deal with living with her father. No doubt she would go out of her mind due to her father's love of floozy women. "I would never make you live with him Maka. That would be a fate worse than Death..." He mumble as they walked into the store. "I don't need to impress anyone, Maka. I'm doing this because of the bet, not because I want or need a girlfriend. Sure, I'm a death Scythe, but I'm more interesting in stopping Asura at the moment. Before then, nothing else matters. I don't want to get involved in a real relationship."
Once they had moved away from the Creep, Soul was having a hard time looking at Maka. pulled off his jacket and draped it over Maka's shoulder. When she opened the fridge goosebumps had broken out all over her skin. That was the reason she was cold, but still.. He felt that it would be better if she had it. Then she could like... hide her face or whatever. Or it would help make her less identifiable to the guy. The last thing he needed was Spirit finding out that he and Maka were out this late looking for "condoms". Getting his own Soda, Soul made sure that he found some vegeta so he could make dinner the following night (it was his turn) and went to the counter. He pulled out his wallet, putting the drink Maka got on the counter. "I got this." he muttered, taking cash from said wallet and putting it on the counter.
Once the cashier looked up from his magazine, with a rather erotically hot woman on the open page, he added up the total and handed Soul his change and receipt with his items in the bag. Picking up the bag, Soul walked out with Maka, offering her the beverage from the bag.
"An asymmetrical mess, huh?" She teased, smiling at him. Though that hadn't been what she meant, she appreciated the thought all the same. At least her was honest. Seeing the giraffe on the screen, she sighed, shaking her head. "Oh Patti..." She muttered, almost laughing at her sister's ability to find such things. She already knew what she was going to get her for her birthday, she just had to find it. Something that wasn't easy because they were almost always together.
Shifting to rest her head on the pillow in Kidd's lap, Liz closed her eyes, relaxing as his fingers drifted across her head. Occasionally she felt his rings drift across her skin and through her hair, but they didn't bother her. "Mm..." She moaned, resting her hands on her stomach, which for once wasn't showing. Considering she was most likely going to bed after she ate, she was wearing a long tank top that went around mid thigh and short shorts that where hidden by the lengthy lace top. Her body started to feel weightless and she was starting to fall asleep.
Patty saluted Kid from her place on the floor. "Righto Kiddo!" She called, eyes not leaving the television as the narrator went into the feeding habits and diet of giraffes. She hugging a pillow she'd taken from the couch, her eyes focused, a smile on her face. "Giraffe... Giraffe.." She whispered, mindful of Liz's headache. The doorbell rang and she jumped up, vaulting over the sofa and opened the door. Smiling at the delivery guy, surprised to see such a well endowed teenage girl with a beautiful smile greeting him; he shyly handed over the order, muttering a thank you. Patti happily thanked him with a hug, causing him to turn bright red.
Liz sat up, looking at her sister, running her hands through her damp hair. "Patti, stop embarassing the delivery boy. Come back over here and bring my pizza and fries."
Seeing the two sisters and a girl's head coming up from the teen's lap, his blush only darkened and he gulped. Once the door closed, he stood there for a moment before walking away. Holy shit... he wished he could have been a meister.
Patti returned to the couch, jumping onto her sister's lap, hanging Kid his Chinese food happily and started to eat her pizza with delight. She slithered out of Liz's lap onto the floor, eyes not leaving the beautiful Giraffes.
Rolling her eyes, Liz started to eat her french fries before going to get some salt to add to them. After sprinkling some on, she resumed eating them. Sighing she leaned over to look at what Kid was eating. "Hey, can I have a bite of that? I'll give you some fries or a bite of pizza?"

Maka laughed. "Yeah I know, I'm just trying to help." She followed him down the isle, by the seasoning, watching as he picked up the blue bag. When he draped his jacket over her shoulders, she glanced up, startled. She had her own jacket on underneath, but somehow, she felt a little warmer with his. As they made their way over to the counter, she glanced at the magazine and made a face. Okay, yes, it was midnight, but was that really necessary? In the middle of a store. When Soul brought up paying for the stuff, she blinked and smiled. "Thanks, I'll grab the next one," she said, gripping the jacket around her shoulders. The outside of it was leather, but the inside was warm and soft.
After he paid, she followed him out of the store, feeling a little better once they were out of the creepy cashiers sight. She walked back over to his bike, half leaning and sitting on it. She twisted open her bottle of juice, taking a sip. It was sweet, tangy, and cold, which made the chilly night seem even worse. "Let me know when you want to head back," she said, glancing up at the sky as if it would tell her exactly what time it was. She knew it was late, and that maybe it was a good idea to head back home, shower up, and get ready for bed since they had class the next morning. Soul was a pain to get out of bed even when he did get a good night's sleep. She stood up on her toes, taking the jacket off and swinging it back over his shoulders. "It'll be colder when you're driving back and the wind's hitting you. I have a jacket underneath, I'll be fine," she said. That and because she was going to be behind him, the wind wouldn't hit her as strongly. "Thanks,"
When Patty stood up, Kid paused the head massage to reach in his back pocket and pull out his wallet, which had a large skull on it. He took out forty dollars and handed it to Patty to pay for the food. After he shoved the wallet back into his pocket, he went back to massaging Liz's head, the smell of food wafting into the house. His stomach growled and his mouth watered when he finally realized how hungry he was. That's right, he hadn't eaten since way before the basketball game, and that game had taken a lot out of him. Shaking his head, he watched as the boy flushed when he noticed the two girls. Hadn't the guy ever seen two pretty girls before? Maybe he was just didn't get out. It was still fairly funny and Patty didn't seem to notice the effect she had on him. "Looks like someone's got the eye for you, Patty," he said, after she shut the door.
When Patty handed him a box of what he'd ordered, he smiled. "Thank you," he said, politely, before he went to find a fork to eat with, not bothering with the chopsticks tonight. He still had to shower up too, so he tried to eat quickly without seeming as though he was retarded or Black Star. After about ten minutes, he finished the first box and moved onto the second one, picking up a piece of pork and eating it. He watched as the two tore apart the pizza, laughing. "I can't believe you two aren't fat, you sure do have appetites."
