"Magic?" Light questioned, confused as the vampire offered a hand, a very wellboned hand, one with long, grasping fingers. They were just a touch too thin... But compared to what? He didn't know. That perfect smile distracted him, and he couldn't think. His hand slipped into the vampires, and for once, he allowed himself to be swept up in all the bullshit these vampires created. Why not? It was only one night, after all. Blood rushing beneath his skin, the music pounding in his ears, and there was something about the vampire leading him that brought it all together.
The Selkie turned, as if choreographed somehow, and gave a sinuous arch of his body, almost impossible for one without years of training. When he came back up, he didn't seem to think, claiming the lips and mouth of the one holding him to the beat. Sailors told stories of selkie wives, but wives told stories of selkie lovers, with fingers strong and nimble, with tongues curious and carressing. Always the best night of their lives, right before the selkie dissapears. In this case, he had three days. That was what Mello had said. He'd have his skin in three days.
"...goodness. Are you... Should I stop and get anything you'll need? Sunscreen, aloe, maybe a toothbrush?" He asked, a little panicky, especially considering he seemed to have picked up a kid with basically vampirism, minus the biting! Sheesh, the Lord does test. He gave a soft sigh, and smiled, "You know what? We'll worry about that tomorrow. Uh. Tomorrow night, I guess." He frowned, thinking about how annoying it must be to basically be allergic to sunlight. "...What's your name? Mine's Stephan Loud." The kid wasn't going back there, so it should be alright not to have to lie.

Magic indeed. This human was so interesting, that L felt as though he could do anything with this powerful supernatural, yet supernatural or not, he was mortal. He was human. He aged, he grew hungry. He was a human man, but with thicker, stronger, and better tasting blood. It was one of a kind, something L rarely ever had. He rarely fed at all now, and it was something he couldn't forget, but close to him, touching him, dancing with him, music pounding, he found himself wanting to feed, wanting to feel something for this human. So, he simply kept dancing with him, uninhibited, allowing himself to touch the other in the process, without a care in the endless world.
Even vampires were not as flexible as this Selkie and Mello was endlessly fascinated the more he moved. He wanted to touch him. He wanted to strip him. Perhaps he had been too close minded in the past and should have experimented more than things not human and not vampire. There were so few options, but Mello was a man of varied taste and L had always had a thing for things new and different. He learned that when he rose for the first time and the blood they sampled was flavored. So, when the lips and mouth came to his, Mello returned it, fevered and attracted. His fangs appeared, but he didn't bite him or do anything aggressive he simply kissed him and held the other's hips close to his own, drawing him closer. Normally, such affection would be wrought with anger and jealousy, but under the fae's magic, everyone was happy and moved in a breeding mentality.
Near shook his head sheepishly and drew his knees inward toward one another. "N-No, sir. I don't need anything. I'll be okay, but you are very, very kind. Are any of the rooms in your home light proof? Or do you have a basement without windows?" His smile was a tad awkward. "I'm sorry, if this is too much, you can just let me out at that red light. I can walk somewhere safe. It's still dark." YEs, it may be heartless to test this human, this Stephan Loud, but he wanted to see how strong he was. He wanted to see who and what this man was on the inside. And that took testing. For mortals anyway, especially those who believed in god and attended church.

"Hm? Oh... Well, my sister's room..." He frowned, thinking of how he'd installed curtains so the light wouldn't wake her before her schedule. She'd always been a light sleeper, and any light woke her. So perhaps that would work. "Ah, we're here." He murmured, pulling in, and parking. "Come on, I'll show you up. Are you hungry?" he asked, his own stomach still too frought with nerves to be actually hungry. Opening the door, he nodded, "In you get."
Once inside, he guided the child into his dining/kitchen room, and set him down at the table. "Alright, so, two things, one, you still haven't given me your name, and two, there are a couple of rules you'll need to abide by here, alright?" He smiled, "One, if you need something, ask, same if you want something. Most of the time, I'll just tell you yes, alright? Two, Don't open the door for anyone. Three, please let me know before you leave. Even a note will be fine. I'll get you a spare key tomorrow. And four, no more vampires. No talking to them, nothing. If I'm going to keep you safe, I have to be able to trust you, okay? Other than that, you're good."
Perfection. This moment was perfection, and Matt never wanted it to end. Everything felt so good, riding on waves of enjoyment and arousal, and it was positively perfect. The vampire kissed like iron, like steel, like beauty itself, and Matt had never felt so alive. This was what he was made for, his entire being focused on one solitary moment. his fingers drew into blonde hair holding him close as they breathed the same breath. "Thank you." he murmured, drawing his nose along the other's, the mortals lost around them.
Light's head was spinning, and the world was too. It seemed as if something had come over him, everyone, all of them. L had been right. This was something to be experienced, but it made it hard to concentrate, hard to focus. His mind couldn't hold onto all the details of the person he was at the moment, and they began to fade. In L's arms, he became less perfect, less amazing, less everything, and it was that feeling of losing everything that broke the fae glamour. He snapped back into himself in a moment, everything crisp and clear, and he wasn't going to stand for being controlled like this. He drew himself in, speaking to L close by his ear over the loud music and moans accompanying it. "I'll be outside. Need to clear my head." And then, he dissentangled himself from the entire situation.

Near realized as they arrived that if Gevanni didn't invite him in, he would find out what this was and would likely panic and hurt him. he didn't seem that keen on vampires. "I-I should... actually leave." He started, feeling the man near carrying him into the apartment. He tensed up, but as soon as he heard the crass invitation, he relaxed as he was carried inside.
"I-I apologize!" He exclaimed, suddenly realizing this. "I am called Near," he smiled, wondering if the mortal would press for his original, human name. "You are most kind, Stephen. Thank you." He smiled. Rules? Ugh. It's like he was new all over again. Very well, he could agree to this mortal's rules in his home. "What are they?" He leaned forward with peaked interest. This was a lengthy list of rules, but the boy just sighed. "Even if I did open the door, this is a safe neighborhood and vampires cannot enter a human dwelling without an invitation from a human that lives there." This was fairly common knowledge. They could glamor someone into letting them in, but, it was rarely worth it. "I want to make you happy, but if I break one of these rules, how will you punish me?"
L pouted when the mortal started to panic. He noticed how his looks slipped, but it was a good thing, he would revert to his original self when he lost enough focus and would be himself. That's one thing L wanted to see, but he had an eternity to wait for it. So, he ordered two more drinks at the bar, drank them quickly before following the shifter outside into the parking lot. He moved slowly so he could be seen and came to stand beside him, leaning against a that L didn't think was Light's because it didn't smell like him.
"You seem nervous being around people in such a carefree environment. Why is this?" The elder questioned as he came beside the mortal. "it interests me, greatly, in fact..." He trailed off for a moment, as if he lost his train of that. "That you seek for such control when the world is uncontrollable."
Hands on his face were always a trigger for Mello, a good trigger. His hands wandered the other's body and he moved his hips slightly faster and harder. So he smirked and rubbed his nose against the fae's softly. "I don't know what you're thanking me for, but you're welcome. I can give you more to moan about, it you'd like." He teased with a small exhaling laugh with a deeper kiss this time, tightly holding him, drawing him in, drawing him closer.

The cold night air did well relieving the sudden panic flashing through Light's mind. The stars twinkled, and it would be an hour or so before the sun started to rise. He took a deep breath, and listened to the crunch of gravel signifying a visitor. Looking up, it was the oddly strange man again. His words made sense, and Light closed his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest. "Do you know what happens to a shifter when they lose control?" He asked, and when supplied with an appropriate answer, he nodded. "Now, do you know what happens when a shifter loses control and can't remember his original form? The short answer is, nothing good. The long answer is, I don't care to find out."
The catholic blinked, before frowning, "Well... I don't know yet. We'll work that out when the time comes." How would he punish the child? Things that worked for Aletta wouldn't work for a teenage boy. He took a deep breath. "Anyway, come along. I'll show you to my sister's room. ...sorry if it's a bit girly." He opened the door and flicked on the light. He cleaned in here once a week, so it wasn't dusty, but it was clearly a shrine to a girl long dead. "Please make yourself at home." The blackout curtains were drawn already, and the fan circled lazily above them.
Unlike a human, Matt didn't wonder how many others Mello had done this with. Matt didn't fear the reprecussions of an awkward morning. Matt smiled, and nodded, "Show me." and with demanding fingers tried to rip the very laces from Mello's vest.

L casually moved outside in the darkness as if it was noon. The lights out here were mild. They had a few, but the point of being here was to blend in, to not be seen, and not be judged. It really was an amazing thing to experience a night like this at Fangtasia. People blended together, came together. The lines of who was human and vampire blurred. It was an amazing change from how it normally was. The sun would soon rise, so the vampires started to seduce and take home humans, or lure aware their pets for a short time of enjoyment before the sun rose. "How can you tell it's not good if you don't care to find out. That means you don't know. I'd very much appreciate seeing your entire body." L leaned against the car, just under a light that illuminated his face better than in the bar.
"I can respect your fear, however, I just merely wished to ensure your safety. Is there anything else you would appreciate this evening?"
Near moved around the pink and purple room, softly touching small things here and there. It was amazing, he wondered how long ago the girl had died. "How did you lose her?" He asked, glancing toward him, unsure on if he would receive an answer or not. The room acted as a shrine, but he wondered if she'd died recently. He supposed he could understand this, in theory. Had he not known this was a sister, he would have assumed the human had a daughter. He wondered if the man had any family.
Mello grinned devilishly at the delcaration that he was welcome to take this selkie with him. Talking the hands of the other, he pulled him backward and kissed Matt deeply. He then lead the other from where dancing, away from the others. They went upstairs, slowly, kissing, pressing up against one another. With ease, Mello lifted Matt into his arms, wrapping the selkie's long legs around his waist as he moved up the rest of the stairs. Tossing the male to his desk, he climbed above him in an instant and continued assaulting the selkie's lips with his own.

Passion and furvor filled matt in a way he hadn't experienced in years, and he wasn't about to let it go. Like a rich banquet, the vampire's emotions were lain out before him, and he drank them down with kisses like wine. He gave as good as he got, pulling at blonde hair to bring that mouth closer, hands teaching at leather clothing, legs twining. This was domination and temptation all at once, and one could not tell the tempter from the temptee. The music was the bearest bones of a heartbeat in the floor beneath the desk beneath them.
"Last summer... Last summer, I took her to a park... and I...I went to get her an ice cream." Gevanni cleared his throat, but it just got tighter as he spoke. "They found her four blocks over, hidden in a dumpster... her throat had been torn out. She couldn't really... Really say no, or call for help. She probably didn't even know what was going on." he smiled, "Autistic, you see. They... They don't sense danger the same way you or I do." He swallowed, brushing unshed tears from his eyes. "Anyway, you can do what you want with the room, please, don't feel like her ghost lingers here." The italian man turned and walked into the kitchen, to grab himself a can of beer, and to get the boy something to drink as well. He didn't have anything but old koolaid packets, the blue raspberry kind. She'd loved that. He made a pitcher, just in case.
The night was coming to an end, the air still warm with the sunset, and yet the sunrise coming. "It's like this. Imagine if your skin was stripped from your body every time you spent more than a few seconds not thinking about your skin." He offered, trying to explain how uncannily horrifying it was. He wasn't like other shifters, who knew they were human, and knew their faces. He'd been this way so long... He didn't know what he looked like anymore. He turned to L, "Can you imagine how that might make someone feel?"

The banquet offered to him, his sweet smelling selkie had blood he had never experienced before. But this creature wasn't mortal. He growled as they moved, pulling at one another, clothes being mostly ripped off and tossed aside. Mello had to keep in mind that this creature likely would stay at his side for the next few days. And he had no complaints, especially if this is what he would be offered. So he licked the others skin, fangs out, but not biting. But he wanted to. He wanted to bite and feed from the other. His legs were shaking slightly with want. "Can I feed?"
When Gevanni grew angry, the veins in his neck popped out. Near smiled weakly and looked down at the news of what happened to his sister. "I see. So she was drained?" he asked, now aware of where his prejudice came from. Then, he suddenly realized he was at the bar, likely to hunt them or find out information about them. He realized he would have to watch this human closer. He would have to take care of this mortal for a short time. "Why did you go to Fangtasia?" He asked, quietly. "Are you trying to protect others from the same fate your sisters suffered from?" A small smile came to his lips and he looked down at the floor. "I admire you for being so good to others. It is a great man who is able to forgive others."
"I can see why it would be hard." L agreed as he looked over the other. "But, it is a curious thing that you can no longer remember. I have never seen a shifter like you. And I can smell it in your blood,' A brief grin followed and soon faded. "However, I find it most compelling that you must feel lost so often and crave control to avoid the fear that comes when you lose control. What do you look like when you sleep?" He questioned, "Or, when you wake, rather?" It was an interesting prospect, since he had no control when he slept. It was a curious thing.
Looking around, he watch the others begin to leave the bar. They were in the line of sight of the others, but they all seemed to have something else in mind as they left. For the vampires, most of them wanted to feed and get om the sun as quickly as possible. "We should go for a walk," He added with a coy grin. "Assuming you trust me enough for such things."

Light snorted, quite happy for the change of conversation topic. He stood, brushing the dust off of his pants, and sighed, as if he were giving a major concession. "Let's go then. I don't particularly enjoy being hit on by hungry vampires." He raised a pointed eyebrow, before taking a step towards the sidewalk to the left of them. The streetlights were still shining, and little pinpricks of starlight were fading gently overhead. "Mello said you were his creator. Does this mean you're here to inspect his territory?" He asked, curious.
The word meant nothing to him, 'feeding' something to be done with food on a plate, or flesh in your mouth. Although he supposed this counted as flesh, with the other's tongue against his throat, and so he sighed softly, rolling his hips forward, snatching bits of breath, now that kissing wasn't the only thing on his mind. "Yes..." He answered, not caring, so long as it gave him some release.
Forgiveness. As if Gevanni could ever forgive the monsters that took his baby sister from him. No, he would never forgive those heathenous bastards. He smiled for the boy though, "I'm not so great as you might think. Do you want something to drink? Food? I have plenty." He offered, a sweeping hand gesturing towards his over-stocked kitchen.

"If you did not make them a perfect present and appear with such sweet blood, i doubt they would be so interested," L teased as he followed the shifter down the side walk. Small twinges of light began to appear on the distant horizon, but there was no real sunlight yet. As they walked, he pondered the questioned asked of him. "I am Mello's maker, yes, but I did not come to inspect his territories. Anything he does, he does well. It is one of the many reasons I chose him. I came to see Near, mostly. He seems content to run a territory with Mello, but he could possible run one another. and I have one coming up on the market, assuming he wishes for it. I want to see both my boys from time to time, and we do have an eternity together." he chuckled at this joke.
Arching forward, pressed deep within the selkie below him, his teeth pierced Matt's neck and blood spilled into his mouth. A small amount began to trickle down Matt's neck, but the blonde's dirty tongue greedily came to sweep it up. He didn't drink for long, perhaps only a minute or two, but he wanted more. He needed more of this blood, but knew better, and stopped. To keep feeding would kill the man who desired to pay him to kill, and for that, he would stop. Not the money, but the incentive to kill again, to kill another. With a few licks of his tongue, Matt's neck healed enough so that it wouldn't continue bleeding, but there were still marks on his skin. Fang bangers could be identified this way. The puncture wounds that never went away, leaving subtle two prick scars in their skin.
"You are great, you just need to believe that in yourself." Near insisted, then he sat own on the couch. "No, I ate before going to the bar and I drank plenty while I was there." This wasn't a lie, but he had fed and eaten enough to leave him satisfied until night fell again.

"That's good. I'm... I'm glad you're at least eating." The boy looked like he'd missed three meals this week, much less actually eaten something. He yawned, brushing a hand through his hair, before picking up the beer he'd opened and settling onto the couch. "You're welcome to go to sleep whenever you want. I'll head to bed after this." He gestured with the beer. "shower's over there, ah-" He stood, going into his bedroom , rummaging, and then coming out with a tshirt far too big for the teen, and a pair of sweatpants with the tie-band, so that they wouldn't fall off.
Matt's breath caught, his eyes snapping open. Like a wave, all at once, sensation swept over him, pain and pleasure, back arching, pulse racing. His fingers dug into the pale skin beneath them, and he near-howled his joy. The music swept to a crescendo beneath them, and when the mindless fae fell back, exhausted and dizzy from experience, he found himself grinning bonelessly.
"I wouldn't know, and the fly-by-nights who I take to bed don't either." He answered, careful to avoid a crack in the road. He didn't know if he had a mother, but he didn't want her back broken. Looking towards the vampire, he raised an eyebrow, "Your boys? you must love them dearly, as much as your kind can love."

Near looked over the clothes as they were presented to him. The shirt would be enough to cover almost all of his body, there was really no reason for the pants. But, he nodded and looked toward the bathroom. He was starting to get tired. While he was too old to get sick if he didn't sleep, he still had the urge to sleep. If he ignored it, he would be fine to remain awake all day, however. A part of him wondered if the human would eventually examine his body for marks, which of course there were none. The whitenete left the mortal and turned on the shower. He was aware of temperature, but it didn't affect him at all.
And so, he bathed in the hottest water possible so that he would feel even something close to what being mortal was. Then, he dressed in the clothes provided, which was a sweet, yet unneeded gesture, and returned to the living room where the mortal appeared to be watching the news. The spokeswoman for vampires was debating with someone from the church and she was clearly winning. When Near came to sit beside Gevanni, warmth seemed to radiate from his skin and he smelled as he had since he was turned, a strange alluring scent that was pleasant to all. It was a side affect of death. The collar, much too large for him revealed Near's entire neck and the skin surrounding it, even part of his chest. His skin was pale ivory with no marks or imperfections. Whenever he breathed, which he was making a conscious effort to so, his bones, especially his collar bones, grew more visible and defined. "Do you think Vampires should have rights?" He finally asked.
The howling encouraged the blonde to move more, faster, harder. He sensed the selkie had finished himself, and shaking slightly, he grinned down and moved to remove himself from within the creature's body and laid beside him. Pulling the red head to his neck, he again licked and kissed at the exposed neck that now, and would always, bore his mark. Since he didn't breathe, he couldn't be out of breath. He inhaled the red head's scent in earnest and smiled to himself.
"I don't believe young vampires are capable of such things. The older we become, the easier it is for us to rediscover an once of humanity and feel again. I have reached an age where I almost feel mortal again. What I remember of my mortal life, anyway." He chuckled as they walked down the streets, through the dim lights of the street lamps, few and far between. "I remember many things, before electricity..." He looked up at the sky. "Not that it all matters now, the progression of time and how humanity dreams up new ways of killing themselves. Perhaps it is why you interest me so much. You can do anything since you have no name and no face." He shrugged. "you're not that different than us, I suppose."

A derisive stare met the vampire, disturbed eyes watching, "I have a name. My name is Light Yagami. The characters are the same as Moon. I know that much." He answered, "Everything else is the problem." The two paused as a car went blaring past them into the rising sun, "Do you have a different name, mr. Ryuuzaki?" he asked, deciding that perhaps getting to know this man with the intriguing face would help.
The warmth and puff of shower-fresh-scent next to him made Gevanni shift, if only to give the other boy room. "Here." The news was showing that wretched woman again, and he was only barely listening to her words. she tried to play off the victims of these vampire attacks, claiming they wanted it, that they came to the vampires, but it was clear most didn't, and if they did, it was the same way a druggee came to his dealer. he grit his teeth, about to change the channel, when the boy next to him spoke up. It was a question Gevanni avoided answering in public. "My opinion on the matter isn't a very popular one." he answered, diplomatic. After all, who knew what Near's opinion on this all was.
Like most creatures after really good sex, Matt found it hard not to drift off to sleep. He had no doubt that this had been enjoyable, but he didn't know if his partner wanted to continue that enjoyment in the morning, or would want the Selkie gone. For now, he enjoyed the soft licks, the gentle touch of lips, to his throat. he sighed happily, content in this moment. One couldn't say he was getting his mind back, because it had never really left. But now that lust had been satisfied, a new emotion was moving into place. Fondness. He liked being in this place, being next to this cold creature like this. he liked the vampire.

"So you were originally Japanese then," The man nodded. "I wondered why your eyes have the quality. I do believe you remember yourself, but you just recall it in pieces." He then shrugged. "I have had many names through the years, but I never..." He paused, "I never had a true name, as they call it. I was called Lawliet, back in a time when all you have was a single name. For years, people have called me L, for short. that is what I am called by others, as there is only one of me and I am famous for certain things, among my people. I must say, I do appreciate your company. You are unlike any shifter." The sun hit L's skin, and when it did, he did not have the reaction Mello did. He didn't shield his eyes or even squint. Mello never revealed why he was able to walk in sun while Near was not.
Near looked down when Gevanni said he didn't think they should have rights. "It's more popular than you think." He added softly, glancing toward him with an awkward smile. "Most people think they should be staked." he then shrugged, trying not to let it bother him. "We shouldn't talk about this..." He had the waistband of the pants he was wearing rolled and the legs were cuffed so he could walk. They were still quite large on his body and he looked somewhat smaller wearing the clothes of another man, especially one as large and healthy as Gevanni was. Near stood up, somewhat awkwardly since he was starting to get tired and the run was rising. His skin hurt, "I should get some rest now." He pointed toward where the sun was peaking, his eyes squinted. "Thank you, for letting me be here. I promise not to burden you." for now, he just had to wait and see what this mortal was capable of.
Mello contented himself with the selkie and closed his eyes, leaning against the other's back. His breathing, when he rarely did so, stopped and he calmed himself. With his eyes closed, Mello easily drifted off to sleep. Since he was out in the sun, it helped him cover his body better. Everything healed and returned to the pristine perfection of the day he died. The sunlight was blacked out in this room, since other vampires were sometimes there. For now, he needed to rest. All vampires had the instinct to sleep when the sun rose.
